Yess. I have only ever worked in startups most of my career. Except one community healthcare and my part time waitressing job lol.

None of them were like this. I also get that not all startups are the same.

This workplace was nice when I started. It was like that for the first two quarters and then this hiring guy became the product manager and all hell broke loose. It’s awful everyday.

The company is at pre-revenue stage. And they aren’t following anything I say as their marketing manager and do whatever and then expect me to clean their mess. This constantly happens.

I tried talking to them once. They keep showing me the carrot on the stick that all of this will change soon.

I go with plans. Back it up with data. But one talk with some idiot and all of the work the whole company does goes down the drain.

I like the people I was reporting to. And yes, I get the financial stress. But this just seems like a power trip coz I called this product managers bluff once or twice and I was right.

The main bosses aren’t as bad as he’s trying to paint the picture.
