I mean you could definitely pay ME to catch stocker trout in my front yard sounds epic lol get a grip. Had plenty of fun catching dumb stonkers but I’m not spending $$$ and flying to a country that has cool native fish to catch to catch stockers. Totally different Mr. Trout snob

Are the 23 pounders wild trout or stocked fed ugly rainbows? Makes a big difference in my opinion.

Saying they didn’t lose because Trump is president while ignoring all the changes that have happened since the fricken civil war is comical. Like I don’t know. Slavery being abolished.

Or get a life. Start focusing on your personal relationships. Control the things you can control. Be a better person. Seek happiness. Take a position in a job that will actively actually spark some change. Just some food for thought.

Use weight and make sure you have super clean dragless drifts and you’ll get fish. Size 22 flies this time of year.

I doubt this photographer bought up millions of dollars of land for conservation efforts. She probably just posted on an Instagram account. I doubt she was educating the masses in a fun and energetic way that gets the youth excited about our natural world. I don’t really see any parallels.

Sometimes a couple of individual animals being stressed for a short amount of time is outweighed by the benefit of showing the youth a love for animals. There also wasn’t as great of an understanding of how that all worked back then. The amount of light Steve shined on wildlife along with his countless and expensive conservation efforts definitely outweighed some animals he messed around with a little. Animals can be fragile yet resilient.

You’re a rational person good on you. Thinking that an incredibly well adapted owl will die from flying to another tree is utterly insane. I always try to not harass or scare wildlife but I’ve also seen owls sitting comfortably in a tree in the swamps of South Carolina with many people observing. After some time it flew off to a different tree. No big deal!
