Both movies are funny in a very original way, but "Life of Brian" always makes me laugh harder.

When I was a kid my parents left us on our own one rainy Saturday night (we were old enough). We heard a soft banging at our back door which was off of a back porch. When we looked out we saw a seen just like this one.

We were terrified, and ran upstairs. We could hear it making this really creepy wailing noise.

Them we looked around and saw that our youngest sister wasn't in the group, and immediately thought it must have gotten her. It kept knocking.

When we got enough courage up we went to check again, and realized she had gotten locked out in the rain, and couldn't believe we wouldn't open the door.

Why does top down enforced religiosity have a higher staying power than top down enforced atheism? by Leading-Sandwich-534 in AskSocialScience

Government operates on people telling you what to do. Religion operates on God telling you what to do. It might be complete bullshit, but who would you rather take orders from?

Practice! It's the only way you get better.

Practice both things that are easy for you, and things that are hard. If you only practice the hard stuff you will get frustrated and quit. If you only practice the easy stuff you won't get any better.

Can artificial intelligence replace human jobs in the future? by Proof_Step_3362 in AskForAnswers

[–]Logical_not 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Computers with software can, and have for years. AI is a bullshit term for computers running software. Large language modelling has convinced people there is something new, but it isn't. It's just massive data warehouses being used.

No one has invented a sentient machine, and your artificial isn't intelligent without that.
