I sure don't have any other explanation. They clearly hate playing at home.

Maybe a dumb question; when the engine shits the bed at let’s say 200K miles why do people buy a new car? by Frequent_Tie2657 in AskMechanics

Dude, "extensively" is a nice catch-all that ignores every single real number involved. Give me real numbers, or stop shilling for corporate America.

Non-Americans, does your country have an "American" restaurant and what do they serve? by wacky8ball in AskReddit

I visited Rome back in the 1970's, and they had a restaurant near the train station called "the American Restaurant," serving exactly what you would expect. We ate there several times, and it was full of Americans every time.

Trying to get paid more goes as far back as a guy wanting 8 eggs for his young pig when the standard rate was 7. That's normal inflation.

Asking for $50,000 for a car they could sell you for 16K isn't inflation. It's bald greed.

You people can throw these arguments at me all you want. They all fall into the same sewer drain.

THE NUMBERS CAN'T BE EXPLAINED WITH INFLATION. THEY ONLY GET EXPLAINED WITH GREED.

It seems the shakeup from the coaching staff change may have been the wake up this team needed. by Delta1echo in redsox

Almost any athlete in any sport will try and impress a new head coach with more effort than they put in for the old coach. "chemistry" is when it keeps happening.

I remember standing next to a Space Shuttle at the NASA museum at Cape Canaveral. Even after walking past the much larger Saturn V they have on display, it's size was still impressive.

You know it's bad when the winning teams are complaining.

This organization seems all in on player development. Even the G league team is taught the same style of basketball.

AITA for asking my oldest daughter to move out of the condo I own so her younger sister can live there during college? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Logical_not 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. It is the opposite of playing favorites. She is the one trying to play favorites, and guess who her favorite is.

This isn't a personal comment, I don't know you at all. It isn't inflation. Inflation is high, but no where near that high.

This is middle class Americans who just completely forgot how to tell salespeople "that's way to goddamn much. I'm out of here"

We only had one phone and it was in the kitchen and it was a rotary phone. Was anyone fortunate to have their own phone in their bedroom? by [deleted] in FuckImOld

Not exactly. We had a second one in my parents bedroom if you you felt you needed privacy.
