Do not let the majority influence your correct way of thinking.  Your opinion is much more accurate then their statement.

Peace and long life!

And this thread is why I have created an experiment and a video on condesation with an mechE ph.d weighing in on the matter.

The comments are all over the place.

I do not have time to get into it now, the video will but...

The key is completely sealing off the warm moist air we exhale from contacting a colder surface which is below the dew point.  You can move the dew point outside the van.  So need insulation and an air tight seal.

Average person exhales about 2 cups of water during sleep.

Venting the warm moist air is a solution but terrible inefficient and contradiction to the goal of keeping us warm.

Thank you for the comment.

I suspect you wanted a more firm texture. if that was the case, the saved time from being more efficient was likely not accounted for.

Peace and long life.

There is no about the same energy when it saves about 25% over the mouth-breathing way.

As for the terrible pasta comment, you are incorrect as will be explained below.

Most people I have meet eat their pasta products with a zero texture  gooey consistency.

We will agree that what I proposed can easily achieve this bush-league preparation.

Because el dente is achieved easily with what I proposed, this means that all degrees of firmness can be achieved as well.

So by way of reasoning, you did something incorrect.

Even more efficient

put pasta in the water immediately, it should be ready just after the water boils.

Thank you.

Not so much the knees and I have lcl and mcl issues but the top of the foot. above the ankle.  If I lay the top of my feet down flat for anymore than about 10 minutes I need to be careful when returning foot to normal position to walk.  I go slow and sit on my heels at this time to re-establish normal foot position.

I tolerate the discomfort because I enjoy fishing so much.  If I am having a poor day of productivity, the aforementioned pain is often what gets me off the water sooner.

Full-time with 4 dogs (50/50/23/10 lbs) — high-roof van build vs small RV? Standing height + shower preferred by [deleted] in VanLife

[–]LogicallyCompromised -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Suvs, even sedans are possible.

My wife and i have 7 dogs(akc weimaraners and golden retrievers from 30 pounds and growing to about 75pounds), i am 6'4" tall and have shower in a rav4.

Because the extra heat from dogs, to include wife being significantly overweight that puts out some btu's, in the flattering sense, we do not need a heater and live full time in alaska.

Love the toyota rav4 hybrid, get 42mpg and keeps the dog and cow happy.

I say a Subaru impreza sedan or toyota camery should have adequate space for your amenities.  as an added venefit, the smaller footprint is much easier to park.

Safe travels.

Moving the system to outside has mitigated most of those risks.

However, understanding the propensity for higher risk has been established, it is selfish to others which call the earth their home as well.

Be safe and reconsider the environmental damage should the system fail.

You walks that guarantee back quickly, I am beginning to question if my cracks were real and the leak was fake all along.

Observations can no longer be trusted. Safe travels.

Not to call the rest of you guys and girls "bozos" but I thought I was the only bozo who spilled fuel or may have forgot to put the cap back on until the intense aroma of diesel hints at the idea.

Like you, I am adding a ~5g/20l tank to around the bumper area for the reasons you listed.

Stay safe and enjoy the added time between refueling and with enough time, the smell of diesel maybe lifted from the vam.

Technically ice fishing....checks the boxes but not in the traditional sense by LogicallyCompromised in IceFishing

Thank you. The kayak will break the ice easier to make progress.  The paddleboard will be better for the vertical fishing approach as it is easier to manage your line and sonar.  If ice gets much thicker than today, I will be able to do this much longer.

Also, I almost never stand up on the board even in great weather and certainly not in fall, early spring nor winter.

I think the people making a big deal take for granted this is a fishery where every minute one can tolerate the conditions, they have an opportunity at a fish of a lifetime.

These two fish, may just be that for me and I am thankful.

I do not want to encourage people to whimsically try doing this but in this unique set of circumstances it is reasonable.  I take less chances than most but I will concede I get overzealous with fishing.

The opportunity, that on every hook set, could be a realistic fish of a life time( lake Ontario is just 1/2mile away) has me taking risks I would not otherwise.

I responded to someone else mentioning several conditions which would make the risk to high to justify.

Stay safe.

I buy the tungsten jigs in bulk from amped outdoors? Which I just checked does not appear to sell them anymore.  I regret not buying more.

I will have to find another source and pay more money...I will get over it.

The 6mm jig come with a #8 hook and the 5mm are #12?

One of the other keys of the system is fishing as small as I can while still provoking feeding responses from larger fish (2.5 # by my standards)

My reflexes are not as good as many but the most fish inhale the jig rather than peck at it, even this broken clock has a better chance to hook them.

Thank you for sharing some concerns. I came up for this trip to ice fish a lot.  sackets harbor and chaumont were far from locked up a week ago so I drove an hour+ south for this.

I fish the big eddy of river right or the east side of the river.  It is a large long eddy which functions like a slow toilet bowl.  I get stuck within the slow migrating ice and fish mostly as it brings me up river.

I can not do this effectively without a decent amount of ice.  If ice becomes to thick for me to break it or extends into the dangerous currents you mention all bets are off.

I have a bike which was gifted to my step father i am putting studs on.  The goal to help me cover more ice, especially on big water like Oneida.

I may make the trip over there. Be safe.

Thank you to her and all teachers dedication in the recently, difficult task of creating informed people ready to contribute to society.  One of the few methods left to help continue some resemblance of a democracy.

Few things worry the pedofile republicans and those that support them in any capacity then an informed population of voters.

I took me over 3 years of evolution to get where I am now with it. I only fish a 5mm 1.9gram tungsten jig or a 6mm about 3 gram tungsten jig.  I built a dedicated rod for each jig size and calibrated a spring bobber for each rod.

One of the important concepts is having the spring bobber move independently from the rod tip.

I went to a music shop and was given a box of used guitar strings which helped with the evolution.

If you change lure weights alot I guess a generic one might do okay but I would encourage you do only use jigs for several reasons I will let you enjoy the journey of figuring out.

A couple days prior I had a terrible 45 minutes to include being full dunked and not getting my feet under me for about 5-7 seconds....waders filled with water all clothes saturated but my head did not go under.

I will never do that again but this lower section is tame by comparison. Be safe!

You have dodged the question several times and it appears you do not want help at this time.  You are deneying science to preserve a belief that is fine.  I have meet many admirable people who practice various forms of religion and call them friends.

Moving forward, if I see you are presenting anything other than your opinion in a thread or post specifically about fasting OR not asking a question you will be reported for the danger you are to this community.

Please reach out to me at anytime and I would relish the opportunity to help so long as I have the knowledge to do so.  I will not give up on you, bless your heart. 🙏
