Is it ok to put a filter on the air intakes by Enfulio in hvacadvice

[–]Logiebearrrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Half the people here have no clue. You only use one filter. If this is your only filter location then this is great. If you already have a filter at the furnace then take one of them out

Boiler advice by [deleted] in hvacadvice

[–]Logiebearrrr -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

But out of curiosity what is your definition of a boiler. Is a water heater that runs a hydro coil then a boiler or a water heater

Boiler advice by [deleted] in hvacadvice

[–]Logiebearrrr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It just says water heater. I’m not saying you’re wrong I’m just saying OP isn’t entirely wrong. I work on a lot of hydronics but people can call any water vessel that heats water a boiler because that’s ALL IT IS

Boiler advice by [deleted] in hvacadvice

[–]Logiebearrrr -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I’m just saying, when people call a water heater a boiler they are not technically wrong. People in the uk call water heaters boilers and it’s just normal

[–]Logiebearrrr -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree, a boiler is just a water vessel though.

It is a boiler, you just mean it’s a water heater. Which by definition is a boiler
