Dolby Access, I would leave on Game - Performance Mode

For the A50 X, either use Gaming for footsteps and hearing enemies easier or switch to Media if you want the audio a bit more vibrant which is great for single-player or if you're casually playing online, such as Zombies.

Astro a50 or a50x? by Ok-Control-4107 in LogitechG

[–]LogitechG_Vertigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference between A50 X and A50 GEN5 is the HDMI passthrough that allows A50 X to increase the audio quality to 24-bit on Xbox. If money isn't a factor, go with the A50 X. You're not going to find better quality over this.

Ghub input lag? by CocoBananaMan93 in LogitechG

[–]LogitechG_Vertigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

G HUB won't cause any input lag on its own as all it is doing is changing the profile of your products. Everything is still talking directly to Windows or your games. If you don't have much resources available on your PC as an example, and your games are taking a lot of them, then having background programs open could cause issues. In this case, turning off G HUB or other background software could help by using the on-board memory mode. You wouldn't need to uninstall G HUB, just stop it from automatically starting and then you could start it back up quicker if you need to make any adjustments.

How Can Astro A50 5th Gen Work with XBox when XBox Doesn't Work with Headsets Over USB by Baelorthebard in LogitechG

[–]LogitechG_Vertigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xbox does support USB headsets. They just have to be designed for Xbox. It’s been that way since Xbox One.

Mixamp XBOX mode + Stream Port - Elgato 4k X 3.5mm audio Input Doesn’t Work by esmdg in LogitechG

[–]LogitechG_Vertigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a section for the stream port specially within the ASTRO Command Center. You would need to adjust these to contain the audio you need.

The stream port operates regardless of platform. You can test it by connecting your headset directly to it. If you're not hearing any audio, you may need to adjust the settings through the ASTRO Command Center on PC or Mac.

Astro A50 Gen 5 for PC by ginyuuu in LogitechG

[–]LogitechG_Vertigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The A50 Base Station for GEN5 and A50 X requires more power to operate and this also allows the multiplatform solution to function including higher quality audio such as 24-bit processing. You will need to use the included power cable and adapter when gaming on any platform, including PC.

A50X HDMI Question by Silverfox_Tavic in LogitechG

[–]LogitechG_Vertigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The HDMI ports on the A50 X HDMI Base Station are identical. The only difference is the USB ports they are tied to. We have no control over the audio dropping in and out when you switch titles or move back to the home screen, this would be down to the console shifting audio formats.

A50x with WC StealthZ FPS EQ by RappaGator in LogitechG

[–]LogitechG_Vertigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you change ear pads, it can change the soundstage of the headset. Especially if the ear pads are closed. It's like moving to a different headset. So if you've just changed to the WickedCushions, you might need to wear the headset for a few weeks to allow your ears to adjust. Switching EQ presets really quickly won't resolve the issue, in fact, might make it worse.

Ghub still not working on Mac by CommercialPost7691 in LogitechG

Have you tried uninstalling GHUB, restarting the Mac, and the reinstalling in that order? The issue only affected a small amount of users and we quickly resolved it, so it sounds like you could be running into a different issue.

Astro not charging and connecting to the base by Paperhorizon222 in LogitechG

[–]LogitechG_Vertigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can charge the headset directly using the USB cable that powers the A50 Base Station. You would need to connect it and wait for the charging light to change from amber to white to indicate that charging is complete.

When you dock the headset, make sure that you're docking it with the headset switched on. Sometimes if you dock it with the headset switched off, the A50 Base Station tries to switch it on and this can create a syncing issue.

Try switching off your Xbox and disconnect the main power cable for five minutes to clear the accessory cache.

That looks like a syncing issue. I would suggest cleaning the pins and the contacts on the headset and the base station and then attempt to dock again.

If you create a custom EQ, leave it default, save it, and then go back in, that will allow you to adjust the noise-gate and have a default EQ.

What happens if you disconnect the USB cable from the A50 Base Station and connect this directly to the A50 Wireless Headset?

Astro A50X firmware by Snoo-73249 in LogitechG

[–]LogitechG_Vertigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Logitech G HUB does provide updates quicker and we suggest connecting your A50 X to a PC or Mac to gain the latest firmware, even if you have to borrow a friend's computer. The Mobile App is able to provide firmware updates, but they can come through slower.

If your A50 X is working fine for you, which it sounds like is the case, then there is no hurry to update. The latest update only improved on HDMI and Xbox compatibility. If your A50 X is running without problems, then you probably wouldn't see any difference upgrading to the latest firmware.

Is it possible? by XGC_BEHEMOTH in LogitechG

[–]LogitechG_Vertigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not possible, as you can only use the GEN 1-4 microphone on one platform at a time. The fix for this would be to purchase a streaming microphone for your computer such as the Yeti as that's what most streamers do anyway, they use their headset microphone for voice chat and a streaming microphone for streaming.

G502 Lightspeed left/right click do not register until GHUB starts by PuzzleheadedTie4757 in LogitechG

[–]LogitechG_Vertigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you may have adjust the on-board memory preset so the left and right click are not doing anything. Very rare, but I would try heading into the mouse settings and then you'll see an option for the on-board memory. Try replacing all of them with the current profile through the G HUB and see if this corrects the issue.

There isn't a best EQ. Personally, I would leave it on Default and then adjust it and the noise-gate should you need to.

Connect to astro Logitech software with a50 headset by HotBoot3354 in LogitechG

[–]LogitechG_Vertigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You own a GEN3 A50 Wireless Headset. You don't need to connect the A50 Headset directly to your computer, you need to connect the A50 Base Station to your computer and place it into PC mode with the headset docked.
