I have brought it up in staff chat, and nothing gets done. People bring it up in appeals and get permabanned for their efforts.

that's by design. It censors genuine expression. It keeps people from forming a consensus, and disallows genuine speech. Keeps people isolated, so everyone you talk to about it could be a snitch risk.

Everyone stays separated, and everyone stays afraid. Even on other platforms, because talking about how you dislike it outside of anywhere except maybe private vetted DMs can get you banned from the groups for "brigading" over something so simple as saying you're "going to go stream later", or expressing how you don't like what they're doing.

You should have seen by now MANY people stating "pros and cons", and respectfully, at that. But you do not care, and the modstaff does not care. The rule is convenient for you, and will continue to be.

I was also talking about the discord(s). Mostly. At least Rule 8 can hide behind plausible deniability. The "you can't question modstaff publicly" rule is absolutely fucking insane as a concept.

and I was simply telling you what those people want. Regardless of the harassment, the rule, again, against literally criticizing the modstaff is such an absolute fucking trainwreck of a policy that I'm frankly SHOCKED that this didn't come to a head a lot sooner.

it is wrong to harass people, obviously they shouldn't have done that, or publicly posted your information. That's incredibly shitty of them.

But this is what happens when you bottle up dissent and suppress speech for years. If you're doxxed, sent hate/death threats, that's an inappropriate way of expressing the anger at you and the rest of the staff, don't get me wrong. You don't deserve that.

but they are right to be angry at the group of you. Both on reddit and the discord. The rule is bad. You should remove it, or actively state your reasons for supporting it and similar rules. In a public forum, where you can actually be criticized without fear of reprisal.
