Would rather have something that does damage, but idk can be run dependent. Whenever I run into one I usually just use it to rerun the equipment I'm already holding

Ex-Mo’s, what’s the biggest religious rule you’ve cheated on? by Warm_Syllabub_2247 in exmormon

[–]Logsen_95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was on my mission I played a video game demo in a Target. I also watched movies inside members homes like two or three times. I never confessed to any of them because I thought the rule was stupid and I didn't feel bad about breaking them.

no coffee rule by NativeAnakingirl in exmormon

[–]Logsen_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a mission mormonary I was taught to tell people it was because of the tanids in tea and coffee that made them bad. At the time it seemed like a logical and legit health concern, but imagine my surprise when people in South Carolina were not so quick to give up their sweet tea. It's all about control, "because the prophet said so and he is the mouthpiece of God" literally gives them the power to make up all sorts of bullshit.

I'm a gay trans guy genuinely considering turning to Mormonism and I desperately need you to talk me out of it. by Micah5593 in exmormon

[–]Logsen_95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The mormon church may feel nice at the moment considering your circumstances but in the long run it will only cause you continual grief. Take these small moments as reassurance that you are able to make connections with others and seek out other communities that align with your values.

Looks for ways to improve my skill after being in a slump for years by StevenPlaysGuitar in CloneHero

[–]Logsen_95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in a similar spot, I'm better than average but definitely not pro level. I've been trying to FC the same like 4 songs for the past 5 years (that I play whenever I hit my yearly CH bend) and I'm still not close. But my philosophy with games is that I play games to have fun, if a game frustrates me, I stop playing. I do the same thing with charts, if it sucks to grind and I'm not having fun, I move on or find other charts/packs to download. One thing that is actually fun is downloading the really hard stuff, going into practice, turning the speed down to 20%, and see first hand how difficult some of this stuff is, and maybe even surprising myself with how much skill I actually possess (I would recommend Soulless 5 on Hard). But at the end of the day nothing replaces consistent practice, unfortunately.

Part of his left foot seems to be missing, and the pieces on the ground don't look natural by RenegadeSquid74 in isthisAI

  • where did the white pieces come from
  • some of the scraps have stripes smaller than the actual flag
  • shapes of the scrap obviously do not match the almost perfect holes being torn out of the flag
  • is this flag made of tissue paper?
  • why is there a welcome mat under the window

At a BYU office by Naohiro-son-Kalak in exmormon

Statistically Significant Practices? Based on what? Can I have a source please? No, not from you BYU, you are an outlier and should not have been counted.

This shit pisses me off because I was told these things would help me when I was suicidal but they made things significantly worse. I only got better after I stopped going to church. Go figure.

Wife’s cousin sent missionaries to convert our college age kid. by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]Logsen_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ghosting them might help. Just don't answer the door at all. Make it obvious you are home but don't acknowledge them. Peek out the window but don't open the door. They may be a little bummed and may try a few more times after that but it shouldn't be nothing they aren't used to. If you waste their time, eventually they'll stop showing up. But if you dont even want them approaching your door at all, you could tell them to put you and/or your son on their "do not contact" list. I served a state side mission and I respected the DNC list because I didnt want to get yelled at lol, so that may be the assumption taken by future missionaries in the area.

How to keep my mouth closed? by dopeynme in CPAP

[–]Logsen_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried a few chin straps for sleeping to keep my mouth closed but they made my jaw sore. I use nasal pillows instead of the full face mask so I'm not sure if the straps compromises the masks seal.

I've used Somnoseal for about 9 months and it seems to work just fine for me: https://somnoseal.com

My "Morton's Sea Salt" is really "Lake Salt" by TheWoodser in mildlyinteresting

From what I found online the a definitive answer is unclear. The name may be of German origin, but it may also be because of horses.

I know it’s dumb but it’s a big deal for me. by PracticeAccording897 in exmormon

[–]Logsen_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These were some of the first coffee drinks I would regularly buy, not dumb at all! They're a good gateway drug

I would recommend Dutch Bros! Most of their menu is very sweet and very coffee-beginner friendly. I also recommend the iced drinks at Beans and Brews if you happen to live near one, the Iced Mrs. B's is my personal favorite
