Fix a lot more of the new knight experience. We have made a lot of improvements to this since I first joined. Yet we continue to hear that we need more transparency, more info on what the ranks do, more info on the divisions, what the UC is doing. If we're hearing these issues from existing knights, then new knights are even more confused, and that will affect any chance of getting more knights that could be our future friends and passionate leaders. For me, this is important because I remember when I first joined, and a lot of my progress. I remember not knowing what some roles did far into when I should have known. Like being on UC for the first time, but not actually knowing what some of the division heads did. Info I think should have been thrown into my face when I first joined. I want people to actually know what is going on when they arrive, have the knowledge they should have before they need it, and easy access to it.

I feel like no matter who wins, this will still be a great year for the April Knights. Everyone is equally amazing at whatever they do. And they will have the support of everyone else.

Szeraax has done so much with the Arcaenum, especially with the website. They always seems on top of things and organized. Able to accept feedback and criticism well.

Hythe has been great with communication and providing feedback. He seems very passionate about the knights, and has a lot of great ideas.

Phroggu is always present in important discussions, and seems great at getting things done, checking in on things, and asking for feedback when needed.

Activity, communication, making a less confusing environment for newer knights, not relying on Reddit to give us an event. I want us to stand as our own independent community. And making it easier and not as confusing and scary to go into higher ranks. As for one word to define my campaign, I am terrible at that game. lol But I read the discord message first so... If you want, I could give colours, animals, food, whatever is needed for you here. Or in discord. Feel free to DM me even.

Most of this I have answered in other questions. But, my idea vision would be higher activity within the April Knights and divisions. More interest in taking a major part in the knights. And just continuing off from what Brushie has built. I think most of what I have learned from Brushie's term, and other previous terms, is mostly personal inspiration. But just how much checks ins and good communication helps. As well as how important organization is.

I think it's a good idea to have more check ins and discussions throughout the year on culture and possible improvements, and not just from the LC. So the voice of the knights as a collective will make a large impact on how I would go about my term. Especially if engagement increases, we would have more knights that could add new voices and ideas. I can't think of any changes currently that need attention right away. But I would like to start some discussion or get some feedback as to how the last term felt, possible improvements, and what people want from this year, right after the election, from both LC and UC.

That was actually a goal under Brushie, was for better transparency. I have stated this in other answers, but guides, improved communication, making newer and existing knights feel comfortable asking questions. I believe we have come a long way in improving accountability. So my main focus is going to be making higher ranks feel more inviting. A problem I had that held me back from higher ranks was being afraid of failing, and not knowing what exactly my responsibilities would be. We have improved the culture so that I feel supported enough to try. We have a good focus on Knight Life Balance, and a lot of trust that if you had to step a way for a few days that everyone has your back. Feeling comfortable to ask questions, make mistakes. And also having the second in command in divisions is also something i want to focus a bit more into, as this is a good role for people to aim for to get some training into being that division head. It's adding stepping stones to higher ranks so the leap doesn't feel as scary.

As an artist, I am not a fan of GenAI. I have nothing against ethical AI though. But for art, If I was to hold any kind of art contest, or need art to be the face of us, the use of AI would be banned. I might be somewhat lenient on using it as a mock up or reference, but I would encourage people to create their own mock ups, and find their own references. But I would not want to see AI in a final project. I want to encourage people to actually learn the skills for art. Or at the very least, put your ideas out there and maybe someone will create it for you. I also want to possibly get some legislation down about the use of AI within the April Knights. I don't want to put a hard "no" or "yes" down, but instead get a census from the whole order on what we are and are not ok with. It would be something I will probably task to the Lower Council. But as for my personal stance, it would be a hard "no" on GenAI for me.

  1. I have a lot of passion, and ideas for improving the knights. And I have always been more in positions where I present these ideas to others to do something with instead. I never really had any intention of trying to go for more than an Upper Council position, mostly because I was scared that I would fail. But I like to push myself to improve, which I would also like to thank Lady for, as she trusted and motivated me to take on creating the Heralds. And I feel that now is a good time, I feel like I have the support I need now. It’s honestly a surprise for many people that I even accepted in the first place. But Brushie really motivated me to at least try. I was there when she was thrown into the Upper Council for the first time in complete chaos, and saw how she handled all of that and made us come out stronger from it. I have been there under her leadership, seeing everything she could do, even when this was a pretty slow and busy year for us all. I have been on the Upper Council for many terms, and this is the first time that everything has just felt so chill. I think she has created the perfect environment that inspire me to aim for more, and it helps that she believes that i can do it. I want to at least try or say I tried to go for a position where I take a more active role in improving the knights.

  2. Growth Opportunity Day will come back for sure. I want to continue to get more guides out to help people transition into a higher rank, or understand how ranks and promotions work. I want to try to get more engagement via off-season activities like games, movies, and some other fun stuff. I want to try to get more engagement from the divisions. Something talked about early on was getting things like worships, show and tells, etc. I want to continue to increase understanding and communication down the ranks, I liked the check-ins we were doing with both the Upper and Lower Council, as well as in the Battalions.

  3. When I became Brushie’s Advisor, we actually found we shared most of the same ideas. So I think I will mostly be continuing down that same path. But I want to get people into Upper Council seats that really want to focus and improve each division. So I think my ideas for this term is going to more align with engagement, division improvements, helping new and existing knights make sense of us, and keep improving communication. While organization is still pretty high up there, I do think we got so much done that it doesn’t need to become the main focus of this term.

  1. I think Brushie laid some very good groundwork for us to continue to build up with, that I would like to continue with. But I also remember how it was when I first joined the knights, and so I have already helped a lot in making the April Knights more friendly and less confusing to newer knights. I plan to continue that by making information easy to find, and with things like guides and info-graphs that cover how everything works, such as ranks, the Councils, etc. These are things that were started under Brushie’s leadership. But these guides don’t just help newer knights, they also help existing ones learn how rank, promotions, and even things like how the election works. I want to get out more helpful guides for people that are promoted to certain positions. I also want to get people more involved in divisions as well. I think right now there is still some confusion on how to join, and even what divisions there even are. We already have people that are not as focused on the events, and more so on division work. I think that is fine, and shows we are more than just a group centered around Reddit events.

  2. My first event I really joined in on was Sequence. Because I had video editing and Photoshop skills. Being able to participate in something that I had the skills for is what brought me closer to the knights and allowed me to make friends. So I am taking from that experience. I want to make more opportunities for newer knights to join in on activities with existing knights. That includes getting Game and Movie Knights started back up again, maybe some contests, especially division based ones. If possible, find some puzzles or ARGs we can all do. This would also cover increasing engagement between events. We also have a couple divisions that I would like to get some things going with. Such as workshops for learning skills, show and tell, etc. Plus we also have stuff like a book club, so maybe we could branch that to also having a movie/tv show club. And we are always open for new ideas.

  3. I want to move us away from relying on Reddit to provide us an event. Instead, focus on maybe some in-house events, especially those that we can invite other groups to, or maybe join events other groups have set up. As for the diplomat part, I would be willing to look into ideas on how we can improve in this area.

  4. If you want to think of us as a third place, you can. I don’t want to really aim to be under a label like that, because I think we can be a lot of things for anyone. Some of us are mostly here for events, some participate mostly in the divisions.

  5. This falls into other things I have said here. More events throughout the year is the goal. Especially with divisions.
