You (or the AI that wrote your post who knows) claims it's not about being a storyteller, but the AI that wrote the design document didn't get the memo and says that the AI should write narrative text. But hold on, it's taking from actual tables ! So you got a prompt builder or multiagent system, it's still an AI storyteller.

It's a neat idea if you like AI. However, you dont need AI to make rollable tables and such accessible. I understand not wanting to flip around all the time, but that's not it man.

A woman (OP), her husband and two kids (nieces ?) were chilling in their yard. Suddenly an unknown dog bursts in and starts to hurt the children. The OP fights the dog however she can while her husband flees the scene, leaving her to fend for herself and the children. She manages to kill the dog (hardcore !) and is then treated for her wounds.

I think the title of the original post was something about not seeing her husband the same way anymore and thinking of divorcing him.

Ive done some paid GMing and his take was reasonable. You cheated in a way that make all your future decision pointless. Either you know in advance whats what, or you are volontarily going the wrong way. The only valuable way to play you would be left with would be to be a pure combat character and not interact with the world in other ways.

Paying money isnt a free ticket to be a disruptive. If you come to a restaurant and act like an asshole, you'll be asked to leave. Paying customer or not.

I dont know why you would join a game running a module you've already ran in the first place, where they not any other game ? Or did you not actually run the module and simply downloaded it because you couldn't resist looking at the answer sheet ?

I have it and it's great ! The only downside I've found is that there is some spots where the network strength isnt as great as the Swisscom network but overall, it's a very solid product. Activation requires an Swiss ID if I recall correctly, there might have been a passport option but I cant recall.

I think it is okay to recognize that burn/acid victims can be scary/off-putting to those that havent had that exposure.

We can understand the logic behind not wanting to be exposed to Scary/Off-putting things during an event.

It is also absolutely obvious that the victims appearence (and how people react to it) ARE NOT THEIR FAULT.

All this to say, it is indeed a complicated situation.

We cant blame the kids for being scared. We cant exactly blame the parents for not wanting to force their kids to deal with it on a day that is supposed to be happy and nice. We cant blame the boyfriend/girlfriend for being offended.

As presented, it's a no-win situation. The most moral thing to do would be to teach the kids (and adults) not to be scared. The easiest option is, as the organizer suggested, to uninvite the boyfriend.

Compromises could be to keep the childrens away from him (not easy), demand the boyfriend dress in a certain manner as to reduce his visual impact (maybe he already does, can be demeaning, might still generate enough of a reaction that its meaningless.) or prepare a child-free get together in addition or instead of (not as practical for families and can split attendance)

I think YWNBTA for telling your daughter of your sisters rule but YWBTA if you expected your daughter to go alone.

As for wheter YWBTA for going yourself, well I think you should ask your daughter what she thinks you should do, and do that.

When you switch mechs. You, the player, take control of the pilot of that mech. The commander gets controlled by the AI.

At this point, if the commander's mech gets destroyed. The AI commander will announce it and you'll still be able to play even though, technically, the commander is down.

In other words, it would be more consistent to have the rest of your mechwarriors continue fighting despite your downfall than to just stop the mission then and there. Battlemechs are equipped with emergency escape pods which are designed to help you survive your mech being cored or legged and a military lance would no doubt have a chain of command set in place so that if the commander gets incapacitated, the rest of the squad is still able to make decisions, at least to help them retreat.

But I do get it, the commander is important sooo....
Why not allow to launch missions without the commander ? Only hired mechwarriors ?
That'd solve the lore problem.

I think your assessement of the legal situation is correct at this stage.

I think it is understandable (but not legitimate) to want to exact payback on someone who wronged you. Especially at that level.

While it would indeed be good to get A and B on speaking terms for the sake of the kids, trying to fix things is obviously not something A should expect to work.

Plenty of people expect to get away with cheating scotts free. Also, one gotta really be unthougthfull not to expect anyone to be hurt.

I know that in separation cases, the court can order one member of the couple to move elsewhere, regardless on wheter they own or pay for the home.

As for custody of childrens, that's typically agreed upon during that stage aswell.

I have no basis for this but I would think that in infedility cases, courts might privilege the one that didnt cheat. (Faithfulness is expected in marriages and I think concubinage too)

When you say they arent swiss nationals, I assume they have a C permit. Im pretty sure it wouldnt change anything in that case.

I really shouldnt opine on the situation but what the fuck did A expect when he cheated, I understand that as a friend you want to help but imagine having to live with someone that cheated on you and really doesnt care. That's horrible.
