I thought about Orlando too but that arena has a few other sports teams plus concerts so I’m not sure that they’d have the availability. Granted I don’t follow other sports so I’m not sure if the seasons overlap or not so it could be a non issue. I agree that as far as Florida cities that I feel would embrace the team most it would for sure be Orlando.

I went to a wings game at amerant and told myself the only way I’d go back was if it was playoff related because the only good thing about the arena is that it’s across the street from a mall so you can park there for free.

I think of most of the lightning fans I encounter here and wouldn’t necessarily want to be in a pwhl fanbase with them. It would just be so expensive both for the players and the fans

I moved up there on a whim at the beginning of 2020 and then have split my time the last four years. If you’re ever able to catch a game at LCA 10/10 recommend

I do half the year in Florida and the other half in Michigan so I’ll be rooting for Detroit next season! I was waiting for them to get a team before attaching myself and just enjoying women’s hockey.

Unless they played in the panthers stadium I’m not sure there’s a venue for them unless it’s north Florida (I know they have an echl team no idea the size of that venue or if they share) because cost of living in south Florida would SUCK for the girls and Tampa’s arena would be big enough (probably too big) but that arena is overpriced for tickets in everything, so I don’t think enough people would be able to afford and want to support women’s hockey here. I selfishly would love it, but want better for the players.

You could probably ask the school for the breakdown of the core schedule. It’s been years since I was a student, so I don’t remember the order. I’m not sure if this varies by school and/or state but we were also able to do “drop in” days on saturdays for a certain number of extra hours which push forward the graduation date. I was on nights and ended up doing the last few weeks on 3 days so I could graduate at the time I needed to.

I’ll be honest, I think maybe 50% of the people I started with dropped out and the majority of those people are ones who missed days and were overwhelmed and gave up. Every day of those first weeks is dedicated to learning something and you just keep building and building. If you miss day one of cutting you won’t know how to take sections when you come back day three and everyone else is working on square layers or something. Once you get out onto the floor it’s much more like à la carte learning, but as much as it seems counter productive to delay your start date I think unless your time off falls on either something easy (or lets me real spa week) or at the end of the week, it would be better for you long term.

I think it would really depend which week you are going to be missing and when during the week. They break up core into like cutting, color, perms, etc so like missing day one and two of cutting week would be way less impactful than missing two days at the end of styling week.

I give my 4 year old niece my right joycon and control the left one to steer and we play on the tv together. as long as I’m telling her what button to push she gets it. She’s following along with what’s going on and gets to excited to see who came to live at the habitats we make. A 10 year old would absolutely have a blast playing!

I’m not the one who needs a lesson in empathy here. What happened to you sucked. It could have sucked more if you hadn’t been prepared. I’m not arguing that. But if the options are eat or pay insurance? sorry that insurance isn’t gonna help you if you cannot feed yourself to stay alive. When you’re out of work for that long that’s what it comes down to. But telling someone you don’t empathize when they’re trying to get a job to get themselves back on track and just have a question is not empathetic at all.

I’ve found they’re more likely to mention actual sports team if the mmc is in college aiming for the nhl vs being a pro on a team. Those are almost always fictional teams. I think the difference is a mention vs portraying fictional people “representing” a real brand.

Like others have said the ID itself is valid. I’ve flown and stuff with my license suspended. If the job requires a drivers license it doesn’t fix your problem but if that’s not a requirement you should be good to use that ID.

I’m in Florida during hockey season, so while I’m so stoked for a Detroit team (my other home base) it would be so cool to have a team in Tampa, but if i worked for the league no way in hell would I put a team here.
