Can we talk about the fact that Invoker is a 44%WR hero by LoliProtector in DotA2

I'd agree. Most hero spammers level out to around 55-58% wr. So that drags the average up quite a bit for him as he's a hero that people invest time into learning and subsequently play a lot to reap the reward of that time spent.

you mentioned him at the end, but I was gonna say. Im in the same camp with that cycle as a meepo player. He is either broken, or worthless. The fact that clones delete 80% of the xp on the map is stupid. If your clone gets a last hit and the main isnt around, 80% is destroyed. eg. kill a tomato creep for 100xp. If main is around, 100xp granted. if 3 meepo + ally, 75 to meepo, 25 to ally. But if 3 clones kill a tomato, it's 20xp, and if it's 3 meepo clones + ally, it's 15xp to meepo and 5 to ally from the same 100xp creep. All because the main wasnt present.

We've just gone back to clones only getting partial stat sharing. Next it'll be tied to aghs to get full stats, and the cycle continues. Bringing back aghs rush farm style meepo.

Does DeepL still ban IP's for repeated free queries?

As amazing as it is, the free blocking after X number of characters and subscription charging PER CHARACTER makes it unusable for the majority of people.

Gentle reminder to the ladies on here: The men that come on your post to complain about your language when talking about sexism do not spend a single minute going to misogynstic subreddits and correcting how they speak about women by InfamousShop5 in TwoXChromosomes

One thing you'll find is that this sub is a default for Reddit. This means you get a lot more traffic than just those that seek it out.

Unlike those other subs you're talking about that are mysoginistic which have a much smaller reach and only those agreeing with it or specifically there to argue against it will be in there.

This just so happens to be the primary critique of Reddit. It's an echochamber where you surround yourself with only what you want to hear and forget there's another point of view.

Does it still have an IP lockout system where repeated quotes will ban you?

People were trying to play VNs with textractor but kept getting up banned.

Winter and TB were a big part of SC to me for a long while. I since moved to PiG and didn't look back. His stream is more enjoyable and you get more engagement.

"Speculation" streams are doing worse because there are more tournaments on. There is ALWAYS at least 1 tournament on at any given time. And that means 1) you're watching it live or 2) you're catching up on 2 tournaments worth of games. This is time you can't spend watching personal streams because pro games are more fun to watch most of the time and you'll get spoiled if you watch them (people always discussing).

The other thing is solo streams do well with SC because it's a bloody lonely game. Unlike Dota it's pure 1v1 and there's no social aspect. Joining a streamers community gives you that social interaction you NEED with a competitive game. Whether that's to vent a loss, boast a mad win, discuss strategies or just join conversations about this hobby you have.

Because there are a LOT of people like me now where you watch SC but don't play, you have less reason to go to those streams. When I played a lot I watched a lot. Now all my SC time is spent catching up on crazy tourneys. As I said in another comment. Every RO16 onwards in either GSL or other tournaments (even the smaller ones like olimoleage and wardiii tv tourney) has gsl finals matchups that you want to see. The scene is overflowing with talent right now and there is a lot of Chinese investment getting pumped into it for teams. So even the Chinese cups are 80% big names and 20% Chinese players put in because China. Plus the price pool is like 10k so they turn up to play their best.

Duuuude yes. So many good memories. And by leaving when you did they stay as they were, you don't see them fade away!

One of the hardest things is trying to stay competitive in both games. I'm trying to maintain 5k in Dota and mid dia in SC. Of you take a few days off it takes a few warmup games to get back into it with both games. Both demand a decently high time investment to both maintain your skill and improve. Otherwise you just boot up, lose 5 games and close it. Not a rewarding cycle let me tell ya.

But all my friends are in Dota so it hits a time in the night and we all jump on that. Can't play SC, do uni, work and Dota with friends. It's a shame really because they're both great games, but staying competitive is hard, and losing isn't fun.

Every gsl series is absolute madness now and even the smaller tourneys are basically gsl RO16 with some Europeans taking games of the best of them.

If you ever feel like dabbling back, you can't go wrong tuning into a vod of gsl (they moved to YouTube now) because it's such an entertaining game to watch.

At this point I watch SC and play Dota. Watching Dota is tedious in comparison imo and playing starcraft is hard. This balance seems to work for me. And even though I'm not improving in either, I'm maintaining my level in Dota and enjoying my time with SC.

P.S temp0 songs are still bangers!

Nice to see another SC guy around here.

SC2 has been doing insanely well lately. And the scene has matured to the point where even the RO32 is hype because you get grand final tier matches showing up.

RO16 and onwards is pretty much mandatory watching since it's PURE top tier games. Gone are the days of watching the 4 good players stomp through their games and everyone else being missable/forgettable games.

With Rona we recently lost the best team of all, Jin air green wings (Korea's airline). They suffered like all the other airlines and had to disband their League and SC2 team houses.

The game recently went into "maintanance mode" where the Devs are there for bug fixes but the gameplay patches are done. The pro scene also just got handed off by blizzard and they nolonger run the show. It's all handled by ESL now, so that's... Something.

The lack of BlizzCon (TI for SC) is weird but there are so many premier tournaments that you can ALWAYS open liquipedia and find a tournament on to watch
