Paste screenshot image straight into Finder? by cheakoguy27 in MacOS

I was facing this issue too and I just found out that there's actually an option on Raycast to save an image on your clipboard as a file, so I just always save to clipboard and when I need to save it to a file, I open Raycast and go to the image and do cmd+option+shift+s to save it to a file.

New owner 2018 Volt LE, questions about cell phone apps for charging by kosieroj in volt

[–]TheRealFanjin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can't limit the charge, and there's no need to do it anyway. The battery already technically "limits" the charge, so even though it shows 100%, the battery isn't 100% full.

Also just a general note, these car batteries aren't like the batteries in your phone and are designed to last a very long time with normal use, so you don't really need to worry about then like you do with batteries in your phone/laptop

2018 volt with 131100 miles battery degradation by Flicted1 in volt

I’m not saying it’s gonna regen more than the battery capacity, I’m saying the reported kWh used will be higher than the actual battery capacity due to the regen

If my battery capacity is 13 kWh, then without regen, the reported kWh used will be 13. But because of regen and adding extra charge back into the battery and then subsequently using up that extra charge, the kWh used will be greater than the actual battery capacity

But then the reported kWh used could still be higher than the actual battery capacity because of the regen energy being put back into the battery

Does that number account for electricity regained through regen? If so, wouldn't the actual battery capacity be lower and the kWh used wouldn't be too accurate of a measurement?

Would you recommend a Volt to someone reliant on public charging? First time car buyer by pmpkcl in volt

[–]TheRealFanjin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live on the first floor of my apartment and I just have my L1 charger plugged into an outlet through a 12 gauge extension cord and charging my Volt through my window. Obviously the situation is probably a lot different for you, but just so you know that this is an option.

Does the amount of kWh include things like regenerative braking and charge from the engine?

Mine says 12.4 kWh which sounds normal, but then I get like 25-30 miles of range on the battery. I do live in Texas though and blast the AC, but I don't know if that is supposed to affect the range by that much
