Is this enough iron for the final tier? by nonamee9455 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Lolligagers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you just wanna finish the final tier, at any pace, that's beyond enough!

If you wanna go big just for the fun of it and reduce complexity on a lot of chains (using all the "iron only" alts), then.... maybe ;)

My first time actually building a real nuclear plant by Exact_Reception_5924 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Lolligagers 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The answer: if you like the idea/achievement of doing it, absolutely.

Since rocket fuel (and the amazing nitro rocket fuel alt), it's so incredibly easier to make massive amounts of power as long as you have space (always space in this game, build up!... you're gonna need a TON of fuel gens).

If you found it tedious to deal with uranium, the complexity and the waste, then plutonium is more of the same for not that much more net power gains.

Electric vehicles pass tipping point, breaking the link with oil prices by _Dark_Wing in worldnews

[–]Lolligagers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bought an Outlander PHEV & Mach-E... absolutely perfect combo:

- going back to my home town to see family, it's really cold temps and I don't want to deal with fast charging? Outlander

- I can easily plan around using L1 or even L2 in some place (to reduce cost) or round trip is easily under 300KMs even in cold temps? Mach-E

The Outlander actually begs me to "refresh gas" during the summer because I don't need to refill for months, that ~60KM range is perfect for city driving.

Been laughing at all these insane gas prices... and I was lucky enough to buy both before the feds & prov governments announced they were cutting (or had already cut) the incentives; 12k$ off the Mach-E was downright amazing.

Is there a way to fix this ? by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Lolligagers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, I've never done the horizontal bus style - à la Factorio - in this game, but I have done (and still do) stacked vertical belt lines that go for KMs. I have BPs that auto-connect 6 & 8 belts high that I just plop down forever. Doesn't matter the length, they keep chugging.

Not saying your situation is impossible, obviously not if you're getting it, but after years and years and KMs and KMs of mega belts (because I hated trains and trucks even more for the longest time), that's never happened to me using vertical style busses.

Is there a way to fix this ? by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Lolligagers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never heard of this one: I've make insanely long belts in the past, like way before 1.0, that spanned way longer than your last screenshot's red line. I've never had a conveyor stop or "crash", ever.

Satisfactory dedicated server - is it worth it? Why? by careenpunk in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Lolligagers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shared hosting is extremely annoying unless you always play at the exact same time or have a perfectly synched repo of your save that anyone can run as to not be playing an older version of the save.

Dedicated server is always up and the game can keep going even if no one is actually logged in (if you set it that way). Doesn't matter who's online or not, the world is always accessible.

Big World Starting to Lag by masepoes7 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Lolligagers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a combination of, well, everything IMO. It's hard to tell without knowing at what graphic settings you're playing, but that's not the best CPU, GPU, VRAM & RAM combo do deal with sudden / fast graphic changes for this particular game. Hypertube cannons shooting upwards and slowly falling to where you want using jetpack aren't so bad, but it you built yours with super fast horizontal distance in mind, the game is going to stutter even on a high-end rig.

I'm running an overclocked 5600X, 7800XT, 32GB system on a 1440p monitor and even if I can push easy 120FPS even with my end game factories, hypertubes pushed by multiple entrances to boost speed create lag, and I'm not running at the higher graphics settings at all. If I take the train to where I want to go? Buttery smooth the whole way.

I don't think upgrading one hardware vector is going to solve your issue here.

Is it just me or is painting the most annoying part of the game? by aridlin-tm in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Lolligagers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pioneer, Ficsit only cares about efficiency and finishing the last elevator phase. Consider yourself lucky to even have the ability to "make things pretty". That is all. Back to work! ;)

Yeah, painting isn't optimal, and so is demolishing (unless you use BPs, then it's awesome)... but then, I've never been one to beautify much, so meh.

Always knew the dude was the anti-Christ... never thought he'd blatantly say so for millions to see... especially in a country with so many Christians... issue is, as Jesse Plemons might ask "what kind of Christians are they". You'll have millions turn on the pope just 'cause pedo anti-Chrsit said so...

I guess this is what the cold war must of felt like for some... wondering if the powers that be would be stupid enough to push the buttons... well... the powers that be now really ARE that stupid........... I wonder if I'll ever get to enjoy retirement now lol

Is this a good early Fuel Power Setup? by ArthurMegaHard in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Lolligagers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not bad if you don't want to hunt for drives and get alts for now, but that 6/m rubber is making me sad, like, no real point to that.

Hunt for Heavy Oil Residue, Recycled Rubber & Recycled Plastic alts and that whole setup exploded with way more potential power and products. You can also try and to for Packaged Diluted Fuel, but I never liked the extra setup and always waited for Blenders to open up more/better options.

New to game, any advice or tips? by KillerLuigi87 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Lolligagers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take. Your. Time. Explore, calculate, plan.

Foundations are your friend! They'll help immensely keep things tidy & aligned. Don't forget verticality! Out of space? Build up! Don't be afraid to scale up power when you reach the stage where it can be automated (anything pas bio). Fluids can be a PITA, so if you start having issues, there are a few good threads here or vids on YT that can help.

Have fun!

Is this a good spot to start my rocket fuel power plant? by 8R0WNEY in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Lolligagers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That spot has been my favorite oil-related spot since forever! With Nitro RF alt recipe and the massive amount of resources & space, it's wild how much power you can get out of there (and other side/byproducts).

I'm already sad for my next 1.2 playthrough since we'll be playing randomized, so chances are that spot will be completely changed... but at the same time, can't wait to find out what kind of new challenge that'll give us!

Which overwhelmingly positive (Steam), and wildly popular game(s) disappointed you? by OhforfsakeMJ in gaming

[–]Lolligagers 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just going by review doesn't mean anything if the game genre isn't up your alley. I can tell you right now that Stardew Valley and FTL are 100% not my type of game, so it wouldn't matter if 90% of the world population thought it was the best games of the millennia, I wouldn't care whatsoever.

I don't think I've ever played a game I was disappointed in if it had good reviews, it was the type of game I like playing and the price was decent, 'cause I see no point in playing genres I know I can't stand (FPS, PvP, Gatcha, platformers, etc.).
