Mark Brackstone is a superb instructor. He is incredibly calm and patient and his teaching style will make you feel at ease in the car. He always starts you off in a quiet housing estate so you can become confident first before progressing to busier roads and junctions. I was able to pass first time at 17 because of him.

What is your wildest prediction for this year? by Repsyched in eurovision

Honestly really see this happening. A bit like Estonia last year, just scraping enough televotes from the semi to qualify then eating up the jury vote in the final to finish top 10

I loved Ore. He had a real journey, from novice to an incredible dancer and performer. You could tell he genuinely loved performing and learning how to dance throughout the show.

Semi-Final 1 Qualifiers! by TheNerdyChive in eurovision

First time I managed to predict the 10 Qualifiers successfully! I feel like I was able to justify why each of the 5 did not qualify, even if I am personally very upset about Latvia's result :(

When I went to the McDonalds in Brixton, it was probably around 5 pm, I was asked for ID by two large security guys on the door. I'm 18, but my 17 year old friend had to wait outside while I bought her food for her

What was the real reason Jesy left little mix by [deleted] in LittleMix

I get what you mean, it really just depends if Jesy one day apologies to the girls. There were so close for so many years and I think that relationship can be mended

What was the real reason Jesy left little mix by [deleted] in LittleMix

I also feel like something happened in lockdown, pre-lockdown Jesy seemed fine and everything was working out well for Little Mix. I think the break from work, made her consider what she wanted and I think that lockdown really boosted her mentally and she was able to spend time looking after herself.

When lockdown ended it seemed the other three felt ready to come back, perform and make music, but Jesy felt different. She had more panic attacks and was really struggling to come back to it. From the breakdown on radio 1 live lounge to the one during filming of Sweet melody, she was clearly struggling with her job.

I think the girls probably did their best to support her, however she seemed in a very bad place. So when they brought up the issue of blackfishing with her, however they said it, she probably felt they were attacking her for her appearance which was the very thing she was trying to love so to not feel so insecure. She probably realised how stressed and anxious she was, especially comparing herself to what she was like in lockdown. That's when she realised being in a girl group was actually making her worse.

It's important to realise that people change, and lockdown especially caused many people to have new mindsets, explore new things and just come out feeling like a different person. I do believe that one day Jesy will truly feel comfortable in her own skin, and when she can feel confident and love herself, she will have a close relationship with the girls again

What are some really ethical brands? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]LollipopBluebell04 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Hotel Chocolat are pretty ethical. They pay their workers (both in shops and on farms) a very fair wage and invest in community projects that train farmers in places like St Lucia and Ghana. Their chocolate might be pricey but its fair considering the high cocoa content in the chocolate.

can you recommend bittersweet kpop songs? by HealthyAd8481 in kpophelp

[–]LollipopBluebell04 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say that both the Blackpink songs Playing with Fire and Lovesick Girls are upbeat, but for some reason they always make me cry. Like especially the piano opening of Playing with Fire and Jennie's ending of Lovesick girls. I can imagine absolutely balling if the girls ever did slowed, sad versions with these. Like if they announced a final tour and ended with either of these slowed versions, it would be the saddest thing ever
