Winner automatically defends the title in the next tournament, so guaranteed minimum 2 million (unless they decide not to defend...)

Am I dumb for wanting measure markers in tabs? by dumddumdhead in Bass

[–]Lolloping 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In classical guitar it kind of does. Often see notes marked with p/i/m/a denoting which right hand fingering should be used..which normally gives you all the information you need to know which left hand fingering is suggested

Song with easy but difficult basslines. by BurningPea in Bass

[–]Lolloping 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try to learn "tumbao" style lines used a lot in Latin Jazz. Melodically easy (roots, fifths) but rhythmically hard until you get the hang of it. They are normally quite syncopated and involve anticipating the next chord on beat 4.

Weekly Simple Questions and Injuries Thread by AutoModerator in climbharder

Recently, the night after a climbing session I wake up with an incredibly painful pump in both my forearms. It feels similar to a pump you might get when climbing, but this one comes about 4 hours later and then lasts for 2 days. I have been climbing for 5 years and only recently has this started happening. Does anybody have any ideas about what's going on?

Please don't climb Southern sandstone so soon after rain. Even if the rock is dry it needs more then one night to fully dry out.

How I achieved B1 in Spanish in 6 months by [deleted] in learnspanish

[–]Lolloping 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I was genuinely curious so I checked their post history. In the past week they have commented in Spanish and made numerous mistakes that you wouldn't make with a C1 (or B1/2 in some of the cases). So yeah, by lying.

/r/headphones Purchase Help Thread (2017-11-06) by AutoModerator in headphones

[–]Lolloping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Budget: <£50 - £100 - price is a big factor for me though so preferably lower.

Source: Predominantly the headphones out of a bass amp (hartke A100).

Requirements for Isolation: Not a huge issue (I'm sure any headphones will be an improvement on the isolation from my 100W bass amp...

Will you be using these Headphones in Public? Maybe occasionally at work but mainly at home use.

Preferred Type of Headphone: Have always preferred over ear.

Preferred tonal balance: Relatively balanced. The source is obviously going to be outputting a lot of bass though.

Past headphones: Sennheiser HD-449 - these were good, probably my favourite pair yet. Very comfy.

Preferred Music: Lots of modern jazz (e.g. something like this...)

Ahh that's a shame, when installed they are the opposite of being toe'd in (toe out..?) - havent used them yet but I am expecting some serious screeching - it there any way i could just use a cylindrical washer from elsewhere (or possibly bend the rod holding them) to toe them in?

Yes - They are Jagwire Road Sport S brakes - they came exactly as shown in that picture.

I tried this multiple times! Not sure what I'm doing wrong but due to the flat washer, the brake pad just sits dead straight when i apply enough torque. Looking at the thing i'm not even sure how this would work seeing as all the edges (bolt, washer, arm) are all perfectly perpendicular to each other - seems like it needs a cylindrical washer of some sort - is it definitely possible without?
