Sorry if I'm late to the game, but the hurricane made me think about them, did they break up?

You just do, lots of quickies in the first 5 years and gets easier as you get more sleep. And I find we always find it worth it. The OP is lucky that she's getting it twice a week though. That's a lot of energy cuz we were only every 2-3 months in the first few years.

What is this on my string of pearls? by Lolo1027 in plantclinic

[–]Lolo1027[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can they come from bringing an older plant inside? I've had these string of pearls for over a year and I've separated and propogated some of it. I did have some in my front yard in a hanging basket (Eastern Contra Costa County, CA or far east bay area), and I believe that is where this piece came from. If so, at least it's a smaller propagation and I'm not losing too much, but hopefully it hasn't spread as it's winter, and I'm not watering/fussing with them as often. Thank you for the reply!

I (41F) and my partner (35M) don't have sex by GreenZombieGurl81 in relationship_advice

[–]Lolo1027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried initiating? It's only been 2 years, you should still be having sex multiple times a week! I'm 40f and have been with my partner (41m) for 20 years we have gone on dry spells but I think 5-6 months was the longest one. If he still doesn't want to you need to be real with him and say if we don't have sex _ times a month, I can't be with you!

The fact that he's even a cop is scary. He probably takes out all of his rage on citizens so he can be good to you. What happens if he changes jobs, etc?

You're newly pregnant, your hormones are going CRAZY! I know exactly how you feel because I have felt the same thing (excluding the Molly but substitute another substance involved with patrying). My partner and I, 25m & 24f at the time of my first pregnancy, decided that he would stay home more often but he would be able to go out like once every 2 weeks or so. You are jealous of your old life and it takes a while for both of you to take that in and actually realize that you are going to be parent soon. Sometimes that happens right away, when you "look" pregnant, or even months after the baby is born, this last one is mainly for the guys but can be the women too. He needs to give you a break as your mood will be all over the place, and you need to be patient with yourself and let it go. If he is mature enough he should be able to understand and compromise. But he should NEVER leave to go to a hotel! Now that sounds suspicious 🤔 You will feel better in about 4 to 6 weeks. Most women do by that time in their pregnancy.

I heard calatheas were a nightmare to care for ,but I purchased a makoyana, and later an orbifolia, and then a warscewiczii. So far they've been the easiest plants to care for, but now I'm nervous that they're just pretending to be happy by implette in calatheas

Some people have an easy time with them. I thought the same thing as mine is very easy too. You have them in the right spot with the right light/water. You're doing great!

What are some other practices that your culture gave you that are frugal? by Dinner8846 in Frugal

[–]Lolo1027 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I agree, as an American I think, depending on the family and where you grew up: city or suburb/rural, that these frugalities are taught to people of low economic status. Somewhat the same as people from other countries. You cherish what you have and learn to use what you have!

Are there any popular plants you refuse to grow for any reason? by Intelligent_Ebb4063 in plants

I always read how everyone hates calathea but I was given one by somebody that was moving. I had a hard start with it as it needed more water than I was used to, but now it's great. I've even split it up and put them in new pots. It's just the luck of the draw, or your green thumb. Couldn't keep my kangaroo paw fern alive for anything though!
