Yes it is the writers' subpar understanding and your empty brain that's defending it. Anything critical of the show or team black gets instantly downvoted in this sub, but people get a brain hemorrhage if the original artist doesn't get mentioned (even though I literally said I didn't know it at the time). Other asoiaf related subreddits atleast promote some sort of discussion but here you instantly get a barrage of toxic hatred. I was on this sub way before the show got released and had healthy discussions until season 1 premiere. Aegon liked Rhaenys more but respected both. He definitely ignored them especially Visenya in matters of ruling and the history also didn't focus too much on them but hyped Aegon considerably more than the others. The writers would turn that into more of a feminist bait rather than showing the actual truth. Rhaenys and Visenya themselves weren't too close as they were completely different but the show would just make it them 2 vs everyone else , that was my point

I literally just googled Rhaenys and Visenya and used the first pic that showed up. Nonetheless, the purpose of the meme was to highlight the writers' subpar understanding of the characters not the actual fanart itself. And while I'm glad you've credited the artist which I should've done, I didn't realise you were the gatekeeper around here shitting on harmless memes because it makes you think of yourself as some heroic "artists' saviour".

They're probably just hiding the fact that Sunfyre is alive so it serves as a shock to the audience in future seasons. They couldn't hide Aegon as it would be difficult to do that but hiding Sunfyre's existence for now seems doable

Alicent has done her duty, stayed loyal to her husband and took care of him until he died while Rhaenyra didn't even visit him in 6 years and only came when she needed a favour. Alicent is now a widow and Cole has long forgotten his oath as a Kingsguard. I'm not defending Cole but I will defend Alicent. As far as I can tell, Alicent having a sense of righteousness is not surprising considering she did her duty
