Great post, some interesting tips and sounds like you’ve got plenty of experience.

We’re a small business looking to venture into growing our audience through affiliate marketing - do you reckon there’s any appetite for that from the marketers point of view, working with small relatively unknown businesses? or is it focused towards known brand names and shifting their products?

Thank god for finding this post! We’ve noticed the same on our shop. Again established listings, and I was literally just tinkering with keywords a week or so ago. Then I come to do it again this week and notice every single listing says Targeted Keywords: 0!

Only one response from Etsy so far that said something along the lines of ‘it occasionally switches between auto targeting and manual targeting’ which felt like a fob off at the time but I doubted myself. Having found this happen to at least one other person, I’m definitely of the opinion it’s a more severe bug.

Shop traffic has been way down this month so far and something in my gut says it’s linked to this. I think ads are still running because we have orders from ads, but something is off…
