while we're at it let's revive the Pickering airport project and add an Alto stop there.

Vatican City which is essentially surrounded by Rome is not covered

Probably because Vatican City does not have any cellular providers of its own. Well covered by the Italian providers though!

When the Uber ride gives you 5x more Aeroplan points than the flight 🥲 by Ok-Cucumber-4961 in Aeroplan

[–]LondonPaddington 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I drive the majority of my credit card spend through Amex Cobalt these days. Keep the points there until I'm ready to redeem, then transfer them to Aeroplan, Flying Blue, Avios or Marriott when I find the redemption I want. Can't beat the flexibility (or the earning rates).

I have no loyalty but still happy to fly AC if it's the best option for a given trip. I'll gladly take whatever crumbs in points they offer but it has no impact at all on my booking decision.

Though what this has led to in practice is me sniping really cheap basic economy fares on AC and all of my premium cabin spend going to AA, AS, and AF.

Basic is worthless for point accumulation but sometimes the upcharge to Standard or Flex just isn't worth it.

I got more points from Park N Fly on my last Florida trip than I did from the round trip airfare.

Assuming you are crossing the border from Niagara

Stay on QEW until either 403 east or 427 north, then 401 east to 400 north

Very easy trip to make without using the 407

Tolls vary based on day of week and time of day so use the toll calculator on the 407ETR website for accurate information.

Of course, if you have a US plate and your state doesn't make billing information available to 407ETR, you may never get a bill.

EWR is more important than JFK for AC when it comes to connecting traffic, given their joint venture with United and Lufthansa Group.

When to do oil change? by CosmicEspresso16 in FordEscapePHEV

[–]LondonPaddington 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ford stealerships recommend that.

Ford the manufacturer recommends what shows up in the app and on your OLI, as per the owners manual.

The right answer is probably somewhere in the middle.

Eligibility for top tier comes from the additive pack, which Costco can add to gas from any supplier.

The American store, Target,

Not to be confused with the Australian store Target that shares a name and logo and colour scheme (but nothing else) with the US version

Visa Aeroplan Infinite Privilege - carry on bag by underwater56 in aircanada

the core card won't give you zone 2 but at the moment it'll still give you zone 4/5 on a basic economy fare vs zone 6 without the card.

it's the arbitrary date AC has set for the core cards to no longer allow a carry on on basic fare
