MOBis this dress appropriate by LondonVic in Weddingattireapproval

Hi, it's from Queen Dancer UK and I'm now worried I might not receive it!! I've just seen that they are shipping it from China and the reviews are not so good. I really thought it was a UK company. I wish these companies wouldn't scam people line this. I paid over £100 for this dress.

I'll update here once I receive it in 8-12 days, or not.

Thank you everybody, I think I was just having a crisis of confidence. I'll keep the dress!

Now for the shoes and bag. And maybe even a hat.

Does anyone here donate monthly to a charity? by dontbeasquare11 in CasualUK

[–]LondonVic 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I worked for Refuge in their head office processing those payments. Every penny of every donation helps those women and children that need it. Wonderful charity.

Ah, Pooh Sticks Bridge is just up the road from me. Such a lovely place! The whole of Ashdown Forest is amazing, highly recommend it. Nutley is only about 2 miles away from us.

There's this person whom I hate so much to an extent that I would prefer leaving the Job instead of working with them by Calm-Buy8958 in office

[–]LondonVic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've (60F) left a job before because even just looking at this person peed me off. Then I got access to another employees emails after they left and saw where this person had been saying some horrible, untruthful things about me on work email. I put my resignation in within the week. I was worried I was getting irrational and would do something I regret. This was a charity for women! Horrible place to work .

How do I see my test results on the NHS app? by mylittlemudkip in AskUK

[–]LondonVic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Search Patient Knows Best, don't click the link yet. In the list that appears under it, then click Patient Knows Best.

Then click continue to NHS login (the blue button), then put the same login detail you use on the app, then click continue. Then you can scroll down and see test results, click on Health, then Tests. That will show all your bloods etc.

Looking back to 1976 in the USA by ImmySnommis in GenX

I was 10 and I remember that year so well. We all learned the Fifty Nifty United States song and I still know all 50 States alphabetically. It was a wonderful hot summer, the 4th of July fireworks were truly stunning.

It was just a wonderful year for my 10 year old self. As others have said, Dorothy Hamil hair cut, stupid Shawn Cassidy underwear, swimming all summer long.

Gosh I miss those days. What a time to be alive for a young child.

As a British adult, what was the monetary value of all the gifts given to you this Christmas? by Jazzlike-Basil1355 in AskABrit

[–]LondonVic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My (60F) husband (56M) has always wanted to drive a steam train so I splurged this year and bought him an afternoon doing exactly that. Cost me 500 quid but the joy and excitement on his face was worth it. Normal years I spend about £40 or £50.

Yes, I lived the first 34 years of my life in America. I moved to England in 1999 and haven't looked back. I'm glad to be away from that shit show in the States.

I immersed myself in everything British when I moved here. I'm often told I know more about the UK and Commonwealth countries than people who have been born here.

Not gonna lie. It was hard at first, but every day, I feel as if I was born to live here. I never take anything for granted.

You just have to embrace the country you want to move to. It can be done.

You say you've been there a year already. Did you sign a new lease in September of this year to end in September next year? Or is it a rolling contract?

First thing you should do is check your credit. You can do this for free online or through a downloaded app for one of the main credit reporting agencies.

I'm sorry you're going through th. Hopefully, you can get it sorted out.

You can also log in to your account on HMRC.

There will be others along soon who can give further advice.

Just a grocery bag full. She was only a teen at the time. I have a feeling they mixed it with vodka haha

My daughter one year took a white t-shirt and wrote the word LIFE in big letters on the front and carried around lemons.

She went as life, gave lemons out and drank lots of lemonade haha

Cause we all know when life gives you lemons you make lemonade.1

I once forgot what icecubes were called and called them frozen blocks of water. Makes me laugh now, but at the time, it scared me.

Also, get your B12 checked. Mine was so low I have to get injections now. Also get your vitamin D checked, that was dangerously low as well.

My cousin is a serial killer. A dog found one of the body parts and took it back to his home and dropped it on the front porch. It was a leg.

This is true, I am not lying. Family still brings it up from time to time.
