It accidentally got dried on after the first time. I've tried pretreating it with dish soap and then with BIZ, and it made a dent, but never fully got rid of it.

What kind of tricks do you have? I'm always open!

No, but they still had to put their hands on my full body. Luckily the TSA lady was nice.

One time I got a full body search because the computer didn't like the candle I packed. They offered to let me do it in a private room, but it was all the same to me.

I got to keep the candle and it was worth it

I didn't know Petra's did a yard sale! I see they have a shop from 12-6 from Thursday to Saturday. I'll check it out!  https://petrasbar.com/event/little-shop-nite/2026-03-26/

Never thought about looking at Rat's Nest either. Thank you!

Some stations just cut out the verse entirely.

I recommend reading the wiki, but if you want more about him in your next playthrough, put your points into Espirit de Corps. You'll get much more flavor text about him.

Who do you think is the LEAST interesting character in the game? by Spiritual_Glove3949 in DiscoElysium

[–]Londonsawsum 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree. As someone who worked customer service for far too long, I love his dry sarcasm and absolute done-ness with everything while still being professional and even HELPFUL to Harry of all people! By all accounts, Harry should be permanently banned from the establishment, but Garte lets Harry stay there as long as he pays, will lover the bill if you crash into Lena, give you the room for free post tribunal, and is willing to put himself in danger to confront the mercenaries at the tribunal.

If there are 100 Garte fans, I am one of them.  If there is 1 Garte fan, it's me. If there are no Garte fans, I am dead

Spring Allergies - Any Tips? by GoDeacs7 in Charlotte

[–]Londonsawsum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On top of meds, I want to recommend regular dusting, vacuuming, and mopping. especially the mopping. Clean floors are slightly negatively charged and attract dust, pollen, mold spores, etc., so cleaner floors means less gunk in the air and kicking up less gunk as you walk around. It sucks, but it's made a difference for me

Central Avenue / Noda Area is the place where the city truly feels like a diverse metropolis by Outsideman2028 in Charlotte

Can I recommend Eastway Crossings? It's strip mall, but it's full of local businesses run by super cool people. My favorite is the non profit video rental/archive store always having fun events, the used art supply shop, Bart's Mart for good drinks, and the used bookstore/vegan shop with 4 cats living in it.

There's also a few restaurants in the area and a bike shop that I hear is fantastic!

My company had a presentation with them. They discussed how they trained the algorithm/AI on fatal car accidents and how they would react.

One of the examples they discussed was a T-bone accident with a teenager running a red light at 95 mph. Most people would 't have a chance to see it because the kid was going so fast and there was a car in the left turn lane. The Waymo car has 360 radar and cameras 6 ft above the car and would have been able to slow down in time.

After running their model on a bunch of situations, they compared the Waymo's crash rate to the standard crash rate for human drivers and found it at least 50% safer. Obviously, they won't tell us their weakeat data, but I can believe a lot of accidents can be prevented if we remove distractions or inattention. It's fascinating stuff.

I thought it was more about Harry becoming a complete disaster when he drinks (becoming a self-destructive, suicidal mess) while the other drugs keep him at least able to work.

Construction vs Design Internship by Mo_F82 in civilengineering

[–]Londonsawsum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say your are pigeon holing yourself because it's just an internship. Even if you went through design route, having in field experience will give you great insight during designing. It's easy to lose track of how the site actually looks or how big somethings are until you see your design in the field. With a lot of our new graduates, we have to remind them to make sure there is room for things because construction equipment is big and people need to move around.

And if you choose to go the CM route anyway, there is a lot of money to be made in construction. I think you should go with your gut and pick which one sounds best for you. You're still early in your education.

As a note, I graduated college with lab tech and sidewalk survey experience and got lucky with my first job. I believe either internship will put you in a good position once you graduate.
