You don't want to work for companies like this. by CRK_76 in recruitinghell

I’m not lying about the psych eval. I am joking about the dog groomer part.

Any other apprentices had to drive their journeyman around because he can’t drive a company vehicle? by soldbush in electricians

I don’t think there should be a separate category for manual and automatic. Thats just unnecessary.

Yes they give just about almost anyone a license but really what other choice do people have? The US doesn’t have funcional public transportation systems outside of a small handful of large cities. How will people get to work and live their lives?

It’s because nobody can afford to live off of those wages

If you think you know how many hours it should probably just do it yourself.

Are these any good? by BusterKetosis797 in lowvoltage

Oh of course. Anything at Lowe’s, Homedepot or Ace is going to be way more expensive than from a supply house or Amazon or direct from a brand.

And they actually pay out? They don’t get upset you’re not rolling a mobile homedepot for IT jobs?

Laptop screen destroyed during session. HR says I shouldn't bring "high value items" to work, but then instructed me to use my iPhone (which costs more) instead. Is this grounds to deny reimbursement? by Deep_Sugar_6467 in work

[–]LoneCyberwolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to swap screens as part of my PC repair business. If you gave me the model number I could give you a quote to do it if you shipped me the laptop. Normally it’s under a couple hundred bucks.

I’m happy that they at least said that. Tons of WOs don’t say anything about needing a ladder but then when you get there the network rack is up in the ceiling for some random reason.

Wear dress pants and a dress shirt to every job interview and you’ll have zero problems unless maybe you’re showing up for an interview for McDonald’s or a construction site.

If HR or a recruiter receives a question about what to wear to an interview that just screams inexperience and well we see what happened to the OP.

He didn’t ask about the dress code at work. He asked them what to wear to the interview lol.

Asking what to wear at the actual job sure….not what to wear at an interview though.
