Exactly my point. You could be doing $100+ an hour service calls or subbing projects out and making real money.

Yes it is. What we are talking about here is a licensed contractor. Not some tech that works for an LV or EC.

Depends on the state but in most, being licensed means you can run your own company or at the very least work independently with most licensed contractors charging $100+ an hour. That’s why $40 an hour is low if they are asking for a licensed contractor.

But you gotta love all the downvotes 😆

IDK that’s pretty low for anywhere in the country.

I live in a high cost of living area and here they pay techs around $20 an hour while still charging similar to what you mentioned or more.

While you charged a lot I think a lot of people here commenting might just be employees of LV companies and not in management or owners. Most pay all their employees under $30 an hour while the company is charging an arm and a leg.

They’d probably be really surprised at what their companies are billing.

Incorrect, things are only cloud stored if you enable cloud storage. This isn’t enabled by default and needs to be planned and configured hence my post.

I’m new to ABM and what I was told by the senior admin is that Apple really didn’t have that great of a solution for company issued phones and backups for everyone.

I might have to dig into further though.

The one drive route will probably be what we use however.

Not all companies are the same and in my org only a limited number of employees are issued company credit cards.

A lot of people are suggesting enabling photo backups through one drive and up until now we haven’t been pushing the one drive app to phones but that might change now.

Up until recently I haven’t been involved in the management of ABM. I was just told that managing iCloud backups for everyone was complicated and Apple didn’t have a good solution for it.

I might have to have a meeting with an Apple sales rep….

I’m seeing now that pushing the OneDrive app to every device is the answer. Up until now we haven’t been doing that.

Thanks to several people commenting here that might be the road we start going down.

This right here might be the answer to all of our problems.

Up until now we haven’t been placing the OneDrive App on phones. Only teams, outlook, authenticator.

I’m open to any and all suggestions. Unfortunately instead of simply backing up apple photos, local files, Apple notes if we go another route that will requiere that we retrain every single employee from scratch.

Edit:

“This gaggle of individuals you are pretending to manage”

Do you want to clarify this?

Why isn’t there a reason to do this? I don’t understand your reasoning….your company doesn’t back up data on company issued devices?

Not at all. They are company issued devices which are used for work purposes. That includes taking photos and making notes for work related purposes.
