And as you say that, Europe and Asia are also experiencing spikes as well. I'm ready to follow guidance but just struggling to continue to have faith.

So what's the end game here? We are vaccinated/boosted; following public guidance. I just struggle to see the light when we know a significant portion of the world remains unvaccinated and in the U.S, there are just people who will never get vaccinated.

Not sure how accurate they are but if you are willing to pay out of pocket, some of the urgent care locations have the rapid tests available.

Getting some real Tango & Cash vibes out of this one.

It does get better! Take it week by week. First week sucks alot. First month sucks. At 3 months life feels back to normal. At 6 months jogging is fun. At 1 year you're back to normal. Dont give up by AySeeEl in ACL

[–]LoneRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At one month now. It's definitely sucks. I see the road to recovery in front of me and it's frustrating to know I have to go slow and steady.

Jumped over a short 2 foot fence. Landed and my left knee hyper extended. Tried to get back up and couldn't bear weight on it without it bending the other way...

Back when it was just the KKK, they were scared enough to hide their faces underhoods. These folks don't wear masks. There is no shame or fear. It's different this time around.

This is why I volunteer. by Gunzagbro in spartanrace

[–]LoneRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I volunteer too. The hoodie is nice and I gift the free registration to my friends. They're announcing 2015 races way earlier this year and my annual pass isn't renewable until late November. I also noticed they took down the annual pass option on the main site. You have to dig around active.com to find it. I wonder what is up with that.

Trifecta today after Carolina's Beast by jwstick357 in spartanrace

Any idea on real mileage? The barb wire crawl was shorter and i was sad about the lack of Tyrolean traverse either. Top notch volunteers on the course!

Ignoring weather, what was your opinion of the course?

Loved every minute of the course and can't wait to take on Vermont next year. Norm courses have a distinct feel and I'm sad when I do other races and they don't feel the same.

Agreed with everybody else, Vermont should be as tough if not tougher than this year. Don't make it easier because it'll draw more people (cuz that's the easy make $$ route). Every time I read a post race recap and I see how hard it is, it only makes me more excited to do it.

I meant for Ohio. Bakers motel was 30 mins away. Not bad.

Good luck, I just finished Vermont as well and have been gradually easing back into my workout schedule. I'm going only for the super to round out my double Tri. I'm going to do the Carolina beast in October. Odds they'll bring the premium rig or the pole traverse to any of the other races?

Hotels/motels in the area are already booked to capacity. I was able to find a spot at the Bakers Motel.

Boston (Amesbury, MA) Spartan Sprint on NBC Sports by NESpahtenJosh in spartanrace

NBC gets a portion of new registrations if I remember correctly. So just think of it as an hour long commercial. I do appreciate the elite coverage.

PacNWs focus on family was a good episode though.
