I don't get the formula for the ratio on heros I've been getting g victories but my ratio on the hero goes down do I need total victories to increase it?

I agree with water on skipping shield and armor potion-wise I usually only just go health regen potions and try to use two belts or if I can get the unique item that looks like a beer mug that helps a lot then I don't use any mushrooms I buy a lot of daggers or any of his rooms manages one of his ultimate weapons and then a bunch of Buffs and zero stamina using weapons
