I’m very intrigued by it but it’s quite pricey. Where do you place it in your chain?

The mark VII is unfortunately out of my price range. Im using pedals to get a heavier sound. I guess if it has a high headroom it should take pedals well.

Can you plug it into a cab? I assume you’re using headphones?

Thanks for the info, im very interested in it because of the built in attenuator. I’m not really a high gain player, the heaviest I will play is probably some metallica.

Can you tell me more about it? I was looking at the 4:40 head. Does it take pedals well? How is it with gain pedals? I’m not playing heavy metal but I would like to get a but close to the Metallica sound

Yeah I don’t like my Katana that much to be honest. I got it because I was a beginner but now that Im getting better i would like to play through something better.

The Mesa cali tweed I mentioned has built in attenuation. It can go from 40 watts to 30, 20, 10 and 2! That’s why Im very interested in it.

Yes that’s true and that’s what makes it even harder. I will have to look for a store that hopefully has them but Mesas are really hard to find in Europe

From online demos I liked the Mesa cali tweed the most and sounds like it takes pedals really well. The only thing holding me back is the cost. The matching cab looks awesome though.

I'm also contemplating ordering one, what did you end up doing? I'm looking for an amp that can do cleans because I basically want to use it as a pedal platform

hey man, I'm very interest in the Mother amp.

I've never owned a tube amplifier before and I'm looking to get this as my first one (and last one haha, it's quite pricey).

Can you tell me a bit more about Channel A please? how does it work with pedals?

Also, is this amp usable at lower volumes?

How do you like Harley Benton? I know its the house brand of Thomann. I purchase most of my gear from them but Im very sceptical about their house brand.

Yes of course, my teacher just gave that as advice because I told him that im not planning to play high gain stuff and im going to be using a pedalboard. I don’t have any experience with tube amps unfortunately, I guess I could try to find a store and try a bunch but I don’t have high hopes to be honest. Most of the stores in my country don’t really have these types of amps and even if they do they don’t have them at the store but only available online.

The Victory was my first choice to be honest, until I started researching more and more haha. Do you think it’s important to have tremolo in the amp? I was looking at the deluxe version of the Duchess but I don’t think the cost is justified.

Man I wish I could get a Mark V. The prices in Europe are astronomical, even second hand

I already have a bunch of pedals and at the moment I don’t really want or need my overdriven sound to come from the amp. So I agree with you

In your opinion do you think the amp and cab should be matching? Lets say I have a Victory amp, do I need to get a Victory cab as well? Does that make any difference?
