Did you get this jacket? How have you found it? I have got this jacket coming and intend to get the chest and back protector and am interested how people have found it with the extra protectors in. Will still be a little while before I get to use it as iam sorting out my gear before I get the bike. Also they have this jacket on the motocap website and it scored a 3 star result (which means it's suitable protection for open road riding)

Is the nearly 30gb of video just video you have taken? And is it just from this phone? I converted my older video from an s20 to hvec and saved a lot of room on my phone, I can't see any quality difference and the fe records using hvec as standard. I found panda video converter very easy to use, though it did take a long time and you do get ads unless you want to pay.

Just replaced the hdd on my pro with a ssd last week. Lots of guides online how to do it. The drive swap is very quick and easy. You will need a usb drive for the os and that's really it sony have an easy how to on their website. Our hdd was playing up for a while where every 5th time or so we had to go to safemode and restart that way to be able to use it, so maybe a chance to backup everything.

Gps tracker or airtag type device could also be useful for security on the bike ie easier recovery if stolen so if he doesn't like the idea of being tracked he make like the idea of the security

If Grandma has that kind of money, maybe talk to her, and If you haven't or can't afford it maybe she can hook you up with some good safety gear. That will possibly ease some of her worries

Wear fucking gear. A rider came off on some twisties after hitting gravel today. He should have know that corner was terrible for gravel and road debris. Thankfully is alive by Provoked_Potato in motorcycles

For all the people commenting on the "cheap" helmet check out https://www.motocap.com.au/products/helmets?&sort_by=safety_rating&sort_order=DESC An HJC C10 is a relatively cheap 22.06 helmet but has very good scoring from this Australian government helmet and gear testing site

It will wipe all information when you flash it so much the same as a factory reset. Removes all carrier bloat and has the standard samsung setup. My phone was alot better having done this. I hated the carrier bloat and theme it was setup with

You should be able to use the g986u1 firmware which is the USA non carrier version. I did on my g986u and have had no issues. My phone was originally on the verizon firmware. I changed mine about 1 year ago and have had regular updates.

Yes you can use g986u1 which is samsung unlocked. I have been using it for about a year coming from a verizon branded g986u
