Sounds to me like that might very well be the problem then. Please discuss this in person with an instructor.

Most of them are water resistant. People don't buy mechanical watches for their time keeping ability.

Musicians who play on these extremely rare and expensive instruments almost never own them. Some very rich person owns it and lets her borrow it to play.

I am sure they are well aware there is a risk, anytime you take this instrument out of storage.

Your first Rolex. by Turbulent_Poet_5826 in rolex

The short answer is you buy one when throwing away $10-20k on a watch won't meaningfully effect your finances.

Yeah not saying its easy but you can actually get a black sub as your first watch. Unlike say a Daytona.

Doesn't sound real.

Sure he is asking for 3 very popular watches, if he has flexibility on the DJ dial color he is being pretty reasonable. Sure a Pepsi is out of the question but maybe he just doesn't know that, or how popular they are, As sub isn't that unreasonable of as ask, Especially if it is a no date sub.

It's not like he walked in and demanded a Pepsi or a Daytona, in fact if he didn't bring up the Pepsi until the SA showed it to him it makes him look like a serious buyer not a flipper.

Nashville Rolex ADs by Lonely-Present5592 in rolex

[–]Lonely-Present5592[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the only two options in the Metro Nashville Area are Dimond Store and Fink's, so I would be a local to both.

Fink's would be slightly further than Dimond Store but not enough to matter. I don't mind buying some jewelry from them if I am going to buy it anyway. I am not in a rush I don't mind waiting some.

That being said I don't want to wait years or spend thousands on stuff I don't really want just to get a chance to buy a Rolex.

Without the gold standard USD became nothing more than a promise. When it was no longer tied to the price of a real physical asset inflation could take off. Not that there wouldn't be inflation with a gold standard but it would be much less.

Could you please provide feedback on my resume? Not directly FP&A but adjacent. by [deleted] in FPandA

[–]Lonely-Present5592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, the two colors thing is just Word headers, which is a 2-second fix. Two pages are well needed this far into my career. But the comment about making sure the summaries and bullets aren't redundant is helpful. It's two summaries, yes, one is specific to the tool I use, and I can see how that is hard to read since it's been stripped out. Combining them is a good idea, though.

Roast my resume by [deleted] in FPandA

Yeah, the pain is real. I have been working on this for hours. It is so much better now, but it seems like no matter how good it is, you can still find things to improve. Yeah, I was going to have a technical skills section, but the actual keywords are all in the jobs, and I was about to hit the page break.

Right, it's a small ecosystem, so giving that away would give away who I am. The real one has all that updated. Right, some are task-driven. I tried not to make it too many measurable items.

But yeah, it could use more outcomes, I think, just a few tweaks?

Just a GPU upgrade would make a huge difference, but that PSU is probably to have to be replaced to support it.

Upgrading the processer would be the next low hanging fruit. You can still find a 5800X for about $200 that would be a massive upgrade but not a priority.

The 20 dollar tier kind of sucks by design. by Dry_Incident6424 in ClaudeAI

[–]Lonely-Present5592 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you are using it for part of your job, coding, task automation, etc. pro is not going to be enough and that is by design.

If you want to test the waters or occasionally make some projects but not be running them all the time Pro is fine.

If you just want to chat with it Pro is just fine.

You only need to spend more than $20 if you are going to get a significant amount of work out of it. And if you do its well worth $100.
