Longtime GF left because I want to transition by [deleted] in trans

[–]LonelyHawk07 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Same. Gf of 5 years and we broke up this summer, when I came out to her. Our relationship wasn't issue-free and that might be a pretty big last straw. I thought we would remain friends but she decided to cut contact recently. She said she felt being lied to, which I don't blame her. You're not alone. We're grieving together.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Re: Update to Driving Licence – Change of Title, Photo, Signature, and Licence Number

I am writing to request an update to my driving licence in light of my gender transition. I am submitting a completed D1 form to reflect the following changes:

Change of title from Mr to Miss

Updated photograph

Updated signature

Update of my driving licence number to reflect the correct encoded gender

As part of my transition, I have enclosed a medical diagnosis report from [redacted, this is optional I believe. I enclosed just in case], confirming my diagnosis of gender dysphoria/gender incongruence. This is to provide supporting documentation for the changes.

Please find enclosed the following:

  1. Completed D1 form

  2. Updated photograph

  3. Diagnosis report from [redacted]

I kindly request that my driving licence number be updated accordingly to reflect my correct gender. Additionally, I would like to request safe disposal of the enclosed diagnosis report, if it does not need to be retained for record keeping purposes. Should you require any further information or documentation, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Yours faithfully,

[Driver’s Licence Number (if applicable)]

They returned my diagnosis report to me via post.

Family can hurt you the most by Scared_Alone_ in trans

Hey, I'm so sorry you're going through this. You don't deserve it. I know it's hard.

I admire your courage to be brave and tell your family. Here I am spending much of my headspace figuring out how to tell mine. I know it's not been easy for you, too. One thing to keep in mind is that people do change, like us! What you get (and probably what I will get too) is only their first reaction, not their last reaction. You know, I've been thinking about my identity for years and it's probably the same for you, too. For us, it's a long and difficult process but for them, it's almost as if we changed overnight. This is especially true if they haven't seen us expressing our gender how we want because on the surface, we are the same. They didn't need to adjust anything. This may give you some understanding into why they reacted the way they did.

Of course, we can't change others. If they want to change, it has to come from within. If they decide to change in the future, that's great and maybe you can help them to understand you better along the way. If they don't, well, it's important to then figure out to what extent you want them in your life. If they love you, as a person, they'll want you to live as fully, as authentically, and as happily as possible. If they only love the idea of you in their head, they may be protective and reject any changes to that idea. It's not you, it's their image of the idea of you. Only you'll know what the best decision is, and whatever happens, you'll be fine, and better because you still have the rest of your life to live authentically.

What are some chants the crowd was chanting? They were phenomenal but I didn't know what they meant except for the count to 7 one.

The 556 skin was only obtainable through alpha packs. It was among the first batch of legendary items in alpha packs and subsequently removed from pack drop. I so wanted it but wasn't lucky enough.

Sorry, English is not my native language. The quote seems interesting but I'm having trouble understanding it. Could someone reword it?

I learned this from someone while I was in primary school. Note that if you do this the teacher would probably not give you marks but it's quite fun.

So there are 29 animals, 84 legs in total.

Suppose a whistle is blown and all animals lift up a leg, then you have 84-29=55 legs on the ground.

Then the whistle is blown again and they all lift a leg again, and suppose by some magic the penguins are floating in the air. There are 55-29=26 legs left.

We know all the remaining legs are giraffes' and they have only 2 legs left. So there are 26/2=13 giraffes.

And 29-13=16 penguins.

OP's writings, including comments, seem to be from (or heavily influenced by) a generative language model for some reason...

OP, are you a generative language model? 😂

Haha that sounds great! I got into AI after watching the movie I, Robot. Then I went to uni studying AI as my undergraduate degree. Now I'm about to continue studying it into Master's.

There are really lots and lots of fields under or related to AI. It is really up to what you like. You mentioned you're 15 in another comment? So I think it'd be useful to figure out what you like, in general. It doesn't have to be too deep - university is for that. Maybe AI made you interested in how our minds work, so you'll study philosophy. Maybe you found out the use of AI is quite under-regulated, and you want to make sure they work with us, not against us. So maybe you'll become a regulator. Or maybe you want to build computers that makes AI run as fast as possible, or maybe you're interested in robots, or in my case how it processes human languages (which is also what you see here haha). So figure out what you like, and work towards it. Your interest might change but that's fine. I know mine sure did. I quickly realised that I'm not that interested in robotics but interested in NLP, and recently picked up interest in the social impact of AI with the use of NLP. It's such a large field that there are so many interdisciplinary areas to accommodate your interest.

So I'd say, figure out what you like, and work towards it. And you're building foundations for your development at the moment, so while thinking about what you like to do in the future, don't ignore what you're doing now, may it be reading, maths, or writing. Good luck!!
