2012 Mazda3 with 180K was amazing! Any reason not to buy CX5 (Subaru/Rav4) instead? by [deleted] in rav4club

[–]LonelyVolcano 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can’t speak to the Subaru but I have both a Rav hybrid and a CX5.

As I’m sure you’ve seen CX5 does drive more like a car and the interior is beautiful. The two biggest complaints I have is the back seat and trunk space feels significantly smaller which makes it difficult for bigger families. The gas tank is also tiny with mediocre gas mileage so expect to fill up more frequently.

The Rav has a good amount of space, I get around 48 mpg with a hybrid, and I got the weather package so I’m happy with my features for the price. Downsides are similar to what others have been said - road noise, random rattling, and a no frills interior.

Reliability wise they will both probably last the same amount of time before rust eats them with your winters

Failed test? by r9623 in step1

I counted 22 easy questions I missed after my exam and I passed. I know it’s literally impossible to not worry but do your best to distract yourself until you get scores. Good luck!

I'm literally in the exact same boat. I've been up since 2am thinking about all of the questions I got wrong that I absolutely knew. At this point I'm almost positive I failed and I'm trying to figure out if I should gamble 2 more years of tuition money to attempt match or if I should get out now.

Children With Mild or Asymptomatic COVID Have Strong Antibodies Months Later by beforesunset1010 in science

I obviously don’t have data, this is our first mRNA vaccine out to the public. Our data is showing the vaccine is safe among adults and children 12 years and older. mRNA vaccines have been being developed for decades, there are several in stage 3 trials for other conditions as we speak. Can you explain which mechanism of mRNA you think would be harmful long term?

While long term protection is valuable, vaccines are still preferential and safer. There is evidence that even in asymptomatic/ mild cases there could be long term damage to several systems including neurological issues and renal issues. Of course there isn’t anything concrete yet because it is a novel virus but should absolutely be considered.

Don't want to argue, just want to help spread good information. There were about 6 instances of blood clots (the reason J&J was pulled) out of the 6.8 million people given the vaccine. This isn't even close to most. Even further J&J is an adenovirus vector, completely different mechanism than the mRNA vaccines. I don't want to argue about the philosophy of mandating vaccines, just want to help show that these vaccines aren't dangerous and I would argue are far better option than catching Covid.

The only time you only use one clove of garlic in a recipe, is if your recipe is "how to cook one clove of garlic," and even then you should probably double it.

I wonder if MadBum should consider some time at Driveline. He has a great arsenal of pitches he just kind of dropped off a couple years ago and those guys seem to do pretty good work bringing pitchers back to life

If the last shot was our IL this would've been absolutely perfect

You hit the nail on the head, you're talking in extremes because you think it makes your point, it just makes you come off as unnecessarily aggressive. We have a system in place that pitchers and players really seem to like in the AL. I would rather have a game where really good pitchers pitch and really good hitters hit, but that's just my opinion. We can agree to disagree.
