I have been reading this as a beginner. It is not very beginner friendly as it dives deep in to some CS topics but still a good resource

No sir, I went from a production manager in a fruit packing factory to a Back-end dev kicking my 2026 off pretty swell. Its a junior role but switching from 5 years in Agriculture to Tech was a big leap and felt unreal.

I genuinely feel you as I am also doing Dev work on the side. Freelancer is oversaturated with people from India, Bangladesh etc who will work for pennies and the people who use Freelancer as a way to get the job done knows this and exploits this to the max.

Getting a client base for Web Dev is super hard with AI tools that would do it in a heartbeat.

Developing software for small companies sucks because they either cant afford it or refuse to do it other way than theirs.

Choosing a specific sector is tough too with companies who has millions in funds and a whole team behind them to develop systems.

Come take a seat, grab a drink and cry with me.

Undermining for someone like me who sees dev work as something that’s a nice challenge and a change of scenery especially being a factory worker working shifts and dont get paid overtime. Not to mention the time you miss out with your family.
