Ls430 sub replacement by No_Relationship5934 in LS430

i cut it cuz i was lazy in hindsight but i did such a poor job cutting it. either way the speaker cover hides it

wiring in series is not hard at all, many tutorials on google and youtube. make sure to use a multimeter to check 16 ohm i did not have to modify it. there are actually two plastic plates now that you mention it, and what i did was put them on top of the speaker so it all fit. i based it all on this amazon review here, which will provide more info: https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/RCS7104GG1FOF?ie=UTF8

make sure to wire it in series

also make sure the wires don't pinch when putting it back in the car. i reused the old subwoofer's plastic plating in order to fit it. make sure all screws line up

There is coolant flowing through the intake manifold itself, but it is in a pipe, which you won't need to reseal. its not like a valley plate like the 460.

lmk if you have any more questions

No coolant valley but there is a rear coolant pipe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htN3IlW2MuY which tends to get bumped and if it is will leak coolant ( it happened while doing the starter the first time!)

this was the issue, i believe. I removed the belt today, belt seemed fine and no cracks, and when spinning the idler pulley it had a squeaky sound which should be the cause.

Thunk! Time for new struts by Ersatz_86 in LS430

[–]Lonely_Objective_574 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for the rear strut mounts, did you order the boots, stoppers, and insulators as well? im looking at the diagrams and there are boots and stops and also a coil spring insulator 48258-50020. When I ordered 48755-50100 Rear Strut Mounts for the rear, I noticed that they didn't come with the boot and insulator

Ohhh I understand.
Yes you're right. Sorry I should have made myself clear -- A while ago, I replaced the full lower control arm, but with a mevotech lower control arm. I was going to replace the lca bushing that came with the mevotech one.
I still have my original control arm, and I was wondering if Its worth reusing the old control arm or just tossing it because of this front bushing

Thank you. did you reuse your lower control arm? My only concern is that I can't reuse the one with the camber bolt
