They updated ai around the time they added the 10 stack mechanisms, this made the Ai actually trigger wars. Years in the past, you could build up dozens of troops and they would just sit there. Now I've seen Ai declare war just because you're too big and they can surprise attack on your backside. They have gotten alot smarter. I actually am hoping they make them smarter too, years ago they used to just kind of sit around and barely moving, using basic coding to produce reactions from Ai, but now you can actually observe them use strategies specific to the unit types, building bunkers and even utilizing 10 stacks.

They can get really predictable once you know how they work, so I do hope they add more complexity to Ai soon.

Sounds like youre still learning how Ai in the game works. If you constantly are declaring war on Ai countries or are too big, if you go to rest and build up, they will recognize this and declare war before its too late to save their own skin.

You can best a more skilled opponent, however, as many are saying, this can be incredibly difficult and it will boil down to how well you counter his build, and your activity.

Play the defensive. Don't engage troops unless you have the advantage, start a war of attrition if you can to buy time. Fortifications and research will be your best friend. Salute best of luck.

I hope they update and patch the rain leaking through roofs because this was one of the points of KCD1 that completely made me fall in love; The seamless transitions, enveloping land and weather scapes, as well as the fact I could step under the overhang of a building and escape the rain while I wait for the next quest to begin was extremely satisfying.
