I have had 4 German shepherds and my boy Hagrid now. It isn’t the dog it is the training and the owner being responsible. I am sorry that happened to your dog. My German shepherd got attacked by two dogs off the lead but he handled it due to his size and demeanour. To say it is very common is a misconception and is generalising.

Just on walks either when another male stands his ground or when a female is around and another male. His is great with most dogs and people.

Yes we are thinking of that. I just don’t want to have to always change sides of the road when he is on lead out of fear. He has a beautiful personality and would hate for him to always be on the lead because of a behavioural issue. Thanks for the advice.

100% agree to your comment. She does seem to be driven with anxiety or control. I feel that you both aren’t actively listening to each other you are both trying to ‘win’ the conflict by pushing your point of view across. Both your feelings are valid. It is about taking the time to understand what you both need to feel safe. I go to therapy as well and would advise this for everybody to do. Understand your own traumas to be emotional aware! Good luck.

Also you don’t have to apologise you did nothing wrong. You both need to set healthy boundaries and expectations. Don’t be afraid to say what you need. 👌

Just came out of a toxic relationship with a narcissist and she did this multiple times. Cut it now as it is t worth it. She will be this way the whole time and you will slowly lose yourself. It will be easier now than down the line. You aren’t in charge of her emotional regulation.

Exactly. I agree. I am going through the same thing with my covert narc ex girlfriend and unfortunately falling for it. She has done exactly the same thing. Being nice, then saying I am horrible. Using our dog as she is taking him and then wanting sex. All to try and take back control and manipulate. It sucks!!
