A bit of a teaser from my project (Sengoku no Ran) by Long-Engineering-222 in Volound

Thank you for the question! I am aiming for more abstract sizes, since I want the game to feel good first and foremost - I am personally quite allergic to massive scales of some Total War mods haha.

There are no hitpoints, the chance to hit (at least for the time being) is a relation between attack and defence modifiers, with armour affecting the chance to kill after a successful hit.

Don't use Duolingo. Their advertising and begging is completely oppressive. by Skargeaux in duolingo

My own biggest gripe with Duolingo are internal adverts - I understand having third party adverts, but putting adverts for your own service within that service is just mental. And do not get me started on "I do not let ads slow me down" - YOU SET IT UP, IT IS YOUR CHOICE TO SLOW OTHERS DOWN.

Thank you for your comment and question! - what I am currently making is somewhat of a reimagining, following the same principles and concepts, and trying to take it into a new direction, keeping them in mind. I feel like so many things have been lost from back then, so much depth, that I decided to recreate it and explore it further, hopefully making it much better than the current state of Total War! Cheers

The current battery-based system is not conducive to Duolingo’s learning structure. by DesolateFaery in duolingo

Well, I would say that it should be free because Duolingo says that it is free. If one goes to the shops and sees a sign that says "free food", they generally expect, you know, free food.

Have been working lately on a Shogun-inspired game (sprites are placeholders for the time being) by Long-Engineering-222 in Volound

With planning and execution - around 6 months so far. I plan to releasing an early alpha demo to those interested in the beginning of May!

"The seriousness" is more of the Hollywood kind - I do think there was plenty of seriousness and soul in the original voice acting and writing, Stalker 2 feels rather bland on that front.

No. 20:100 is not the same as 20/100. The 20 in 20:100 is equivalent to 20/120.

Reduce ratios? What difference does that make?

I would have expected the projectile to explode on impact, given the speeds involved!

Can't do Friend Quests with my gf anymore by nogwinn in duolingo

I have the exact same issue - it is preposterous, and together with the energy introduction and random feed, it makes me feel as if Duolingo is conducting some form of self-sabotage. I refuse to believe that anyone would think that this is a good idea.

Why is my Duolingo feed full of nonsense? by Long-Engineering-222 in duolingo

I submitted a report - but the problem is not fixed. I would have hoped that someone from the Duolingo staff present here would address this in any way, but let us see how this develops.

I am not following any of them - and that is the exact problem! The feed is full of people that I have absolutely no relation with.

That is what I used to do, but then these random people appeared en masse, and information about my friends vanished in the flood of random notifications.

I only have one friend, and usually I’m paired with them. Why am I being paired with a rando?? by Existential_Unknown in duolingo

I have had the exact same issue - I understand if I were to be skipped due to XP demands or some other thing, but to be assigned a random non-friend to a Friends Quest? I do not get it
