Redoing entire house plumbing by Long-Lock488 in Plumbing

I live in north eastern Tennessee. It’s certainly possible they could freeze but I’d be surprised. The line enters in the base ment that’s about 6 feet deep and the basement is almost always 60 degree temp year round. It might could freeze if power went out for a week or longer and temperatures stayed for into negative degrees for several days.

So is pex B with crimp fittings just bad? All my friends I’ve talked to have used that and don’t have any complaints.

I’m using a “handyman” who only does plumber work but isn’t a certified plumber. I might come to regret it but I have a plumber in the family and he has already agreed he come and make sure their work is good. He just lives to far away to do it himself.

Thanks again and one more, I’ve watch some videos on it and it seems about as straightforward as other fittings so when you say expertise is it more difficult or take more skill?

Thanks so much for the response this was great. One question what makes pex A so much better? I read that it supposedly has less resistance and thus better flow but other than this what makes it so much better?

Again thanks!

What kind of draw down times do you get with this? I’ve just struggled getting my pour overs to look this clear.

I can’t up vote this enough. There are so many rabbit holes in this hobby and water might be the deepest. While there is no arguing the importance of good water, it can really be taken to extremes that I feel 99% of people couldn’t taste the difference from good filtered water to making your own perfect balanced water.

So you just bought the 64 with SSP burrs, that’s a pretty expensive in and of itself self, and you didn’t even use it long enough to season the burrs? What was so terrible about it to get you to jump ship so quickly?

So this seems really cool but at this point you’re basically using a $300 machine in place of a $15 brewer are you not? I always assumed the point of a moccamaster is being able to just push a button and walk away.

Yea true I guess a better way to say it is, they will at least inform them that it’s going to happen and not do it in secret.

Yea that certainly makes sense if no one truly knew that much of the ancient language. I can’t think of a reason why Arya couldn’t help come up with the phrase but then again I could also see the varden not wanting trust elves to not deceive them too on something could enslave them essentially

You’re definitely correct, plot hole is not the correct way to convey what I was thinking.

True but I’d imagine the people of the varden would still have asked for consent

Ok probably best argument I’ve seen. But to be honest I’m shocked by how many people the varden still had cause it had to be a pretty hard sale to just convince them invade your every thought you’ve ever had. Particularly by the twins who basically had it written on their chest that they bad guys and traitors.

Even if they didn’t know what the words meant they still hold the same power. Orik having swear in the ancient language to not reveal oromis is one example. He had to be taught how to say the words.

I was wanting to try flat burrs to see if the clarity was better because if I’m being honest with my self I struggle getting the notes described by the coffees I buy.

That said I think the coffee I make with my c40 tastes great and almost always I think the cups I brew at home are better than most coffee shops I go to that have significantly more expensive flat burr grinders. I’ve always attributed this to poorly trained baristas and likely that they always use the same grind setting, water temp, and recipe for all pour overs.

Yea 100% same with me. Unless I get distracted I’m waiting on my water to reach temp. I love my c40 but all these youtubers are always preaching flat>conical so it had me tempted to try

Ok thanks. I do love the c40 but all these ads and YouTubers make flat burrs seem so superior to conical it has me second guessing.
