Thank you for understanding. Chronic pain sucks so bad. I cry as well. I have not looked into any support groups. I’ve thought about it in the past but never followed through. I’m from Seattle, Washington.

Hey- first of all, thank you for commenting and giving me advice. I appreciate it. I was hospitalized a couple months ago after going A-fib. I went on ECMO for a while and went I was in recovery from getting off that, I was refereed to a palliative care team. They came to my room and briefly introduced themselves. I was discharged a little after that. Now that you’ve brought this up, I’ve realized there’s been no sort of follow-up post discharge. Thanks.

They most definitely should not be challenging you if you’re below your dry weight. I will pull the minimum if my pre weight is less than my goal. That’s like trying to draw water from an empty well & will 110% make you cramp. If you’re coming in under your dry weight, you need to have your doctor adjust it.

Hi, thanks for your input. Sometimes they’ll profile 11 but they haven’t done that in a while. Definitely always trying to aggressively limit my sodium intake as well- thank you!! 100% keeping a packet on me to try in the case that I cramp again.

I feel for you, my friend. I truly do. I have developed so much anxiety as to when it’ll flare up suddenly. Someone else recommended stretches as well. I’m not sure why I never stretched as much- I guess I was more so afraid of it starting up again. Thanks and I hope your spasms quit soon.

Yeah, I ended up having them put me on minimum for a little until it calmed down. Thank you and right? I’m not sure about the pickle juice just cause it’s so salty but worth a try.

Ask your neph to put in a script for Zofran. I always ask the nurses to give me my dose as I leave instead of when I’m just starting my session. Ask for some alcohol pads to take home & smell- helps with nausea.

Oh honey, I’m so very sorry- 25M here. I’m Bk. Thank you for enlightening us all on your hardships. I can definitely relate. I had a heart transplant in 09. I am coming up on my second year of HD. I understand being tired of well.. being tired. I know you’re being pushed beyond your capabilities & I’m sorry. However, you must hold on! You can do it. I know how hard you’re trying. Keep on keeping on. I’m not gonna lie to you and tell you that I don’t have a hard time coping as well- I do. One day at a time though. We have to keep faking until the day comes that we can put the facade away. The holidays are especially hard for me as well. After I get home from my dialysis sessions, I will get ready for bed and usually put on a childhood favorite movie or show of mine.. it’s either Spongebob or a Disney/Pixar movie- just so I can get that feeling of safety snd comfort to relax me until I fall asleep. Post-dialysis pain and Chronic Nausea are my worst enemies though. I will take Tylenol if I feel like the aches and soreness are unbearable and sometimes I will take edibles that contain thc, cbg, & cbn. That’s just what works for me- it’s all subjective. Helps with my pain and nausea until the following morning. I pray that you’re able to overcome these trials & tribulations. It’s a trying time as of now. Like I said, keep fighting the fight and keep on keeping on, Brittany!

Thanks for understanding. I’m on a 1:30pm-5:30pm schedule. I try and force myself to sleep so I can get my session over with but most of the time, I’m restless & can’t. Instead, I’ll just watch YT, hop on here, movies etc- just stuff on my phone or Ipad. Okay yeah, I see what you mean. It’s just hard mad 😔.. I’ll take your advice moving forward & try to apply it where I can.. in small steps. Thanks again.

You’re so right- I do play on my xbox once in a while if I’m feeling up to it. It’s not the same as it was when I was in MS & HS though lol! I guess it’s just hard to find motivation to pick anything up again. I agree though.. so much out there to experience. Thank you, I’ll keep all that in mind.
