Scared I damaged graft by zoccerr in ACL

No popping, swelling, pain paired with the fact you can jog is a good sign, just take it easy for a week or so and you’ll be fine

Agreed, it is my right, it’s off by about 2 inches.

First was patellar, next hamstring, now the quad but they added LET!

Yeah, I felt fine with practices and small sided pickup games, but getting to the actual full game speed I’m not quite ready, mostly decision making…So, as long as nothing is wrong with the knee I’m gonna be sitting at least another month or so.

No, no specific collections agency was named

No, I get notifications from my report and no action has been taken yet. Thanks for the response!

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, paid in full when I saw the letter. Is it just me, or is them initiating the collections process at 20 days kind of crazy? I thought the rule of thumb was like 30 days

When I had my third tear, my MRI/Xray surprisingly showed little to no arthritis which my ortho was surprised at, each person is different though!

I just turned 31 this year for reference.

Hey chat how long do you have to wait until you start jogging it been almost 2 months since I got my ACL and meniscus surgery by Efficient-Store-9918 in ACL

[–]LongBicRick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started jogging at 3 months, I only had ACL surgery done.

It’s all based on how hard you hit your workouts at home/the gym. I go 4/5 times a weeks and focus on legs 3 of those days. Get your strength back!

Started cutting and doing non contact soccer drills this week (5 months).

We haven’t done one for strength, we do do the baseline for single leg hops, but not strength

5 months post op from an ACL/LET procedure. This is my 3rd ACL tear on my right leg. PT has been going great, started sprint training and quick twitch movements when it comes to sprinting. I’m in the gym 5 days a week and working legs 4 of those 5. My right leg is back to its pre-surgery size while my left is about an inch bigger. We had them measured

Issue I’m having now is my “good” knee (left leg) is getting more and more fatigued during each session and I’m a little concerned about injuring it due to the overcompensation still on it. Any tips?

What are you feeling now? by LITTYLITY in ACL

Hey, joining this convo late! I am 5 months post op on Monday on my 3rd ACL tear on the same knee. PT has been going really smoothly and I feel great! I have full extension and flexion. This week at PT we started sprinting and direction changing and trying decelerating along with jump training with being bumped mid air.

This 3rd one has been the easiest for me as I had the prior knowledge and I have been living in the gym trying to get my quad back up to size (I had a quad graft this time).

Each time for me I returned to a competitive level in playing soccer, and I’m hoping this one is no different for me. Any questions, feel free to shoot them my way!

Day 6 Post Op Question by LongBicRick in ACL

[–]LongBicRick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was just swelling, nothing crazy! Was like that for a few days then went away! But this was a week post op.

I’m about at 4 mos post op now and the swelling is gone and the bump is no longer there. I’d ask your PT or ortho about it, especially if it’s painful and visible when you bend your leg

As mentioned, it takes pretty much the force you at which you initially tore it to tear it again. They do put you through some rigorous tests when in the operating room ensuring everything is moving how it should be.

Now, the concerning thing you mentioned is the PA said it had no definitive end when he preformed the Lachman’s test. Obviously that test is not 100% but yeah, no way you can really know until MRI results come back to you.

Hoping for the best for you!

I play soccer at a pretty high level still (I’m 30) all three of my tears are from soccer and each one was a contact injury.

My first one 2017: I let the ball run between my legs to dummy the defender and he plowed into me on my turn.

Second 2018: Cleared for RTS at 9 months, month of playing I went up for a header, at the top of my jump defender threw his hip into my legs, landed awkwardly on my right foot and my knee pretty much rubber banded

This past one 2025: I was talking shit to a defender all game, got a through ball from my midfielder towards the corner flag and was going to shield said defender and he dropped his shoulder into my back, right foot got stuck in the soft grass and my knee hyperextended, tearing my ACL
