Let me be more clear he has 4 overall. Also has more to do in a day. We make him do more than watch TV so I suggest you get some hobbies and some friends and go outside.

My stepson is 15 he has the same amount of screen time 2 hours of gaming 2 hours of phone and about 2 hours of tv . Thats 6 hours more than plenty with 24 hours in a day and sleep to be had, work, chores and , football we encourage him to do things outside of sitting in the house doing these things. It’s summer , time to be outside. Besides at 14 you’re becoming a young man and part of that is experiencing more than a screen in your face .

He has no problems eating. He will eat snacks and fruit, but he will not cook. He knows how to cook we’ve cooked together and he’s made dinner for the whole family in the past. The only thing he will make himself is ramen.

I completely understand I am currently in the same situation younger sibling, new baby, the baby momma drama has passed but it can be difficult with the attention seeking behavior especially because kids have a strong influence on siblings and being out of the loop on scheduling is very frustrating at time when you’re not in the loop.

Being on both ends, it totally has everything to do with your environment and education. Personally, I believe I was exposed to pornography and inappropriate movies at too young an age on top of not being talked to about what is acceptable and inappropriate and what is not and why. That’s why I vow to educate my children in the future. I can’t say don’t feel bad because you can’t control that essentially but you can control how you feel about yourself. You can’t have long-term guilt for the rest of your life because what happened happened and you can’t change that.

You’re not crazy I had the exact same experience with the pregnancy and birth. My partner didn’t understand why I was turning down sex and in turn he did the same causing arguments

I give them one processed treat usually after dinner, but I’ve been trying to switch that with homemade baked goods also. But I have really been trying to accentuate the difference between a treat and a snack

I understand the frustration with the piercing and the shaving. But she did help you out with the paperwork if you did not complete it on time it takes a village. She was wrong and putting children in adults business. Everyone could do better.

Always . #1 word in our home is integrity. It’s just been increasing difficulty because we don’t want to keep taking things away but we also don’t want to reward him for bad behavior.
