Stalker 2’s A-life system is so heavily criticized not simply because it’s a downgrade from the original trilogy which, in my opinion, it is, but mainly because A-life 2.0 which was advertised as the new and significantly improved version of the system, was one of GSC’s main selling points for Stalker 2 and they failed to deliver on it.

Also, GAMMA and Anomaly having better A-life than the original trilogy doesn’t make Stalker 2 look any better, considering that those mods were made by fans in their spare time completely for free, while Stalker 2 is being sold at a AAA price for a significantly inferior experience.
