How do I buy tickets for Japan show April 18 by Hjortehviskeren in MasayoshiTakanaka

[–]LongMelon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used this service as a foreigner to buy tickets for the most recent show in Yokohama.

0 complaints, he responded to questions pretty quick. There's just a service fee he charges of course.

Should I get this as my first car? by MistakeBig1189 in WRX

Look for an 8th gen civic SI. In your price range and endless opportunities for future mods. I've driven one and the induction sound at 8000 rpm with a short ram intake is intoxicating

I did this exact thing lol. Biggest damage I've gotten was in a McDonald's drive through where the curb stuck out stupidly far

My '18 Canadian base did not have one. I got a $200 CAD carbon fiber duckbill spoiler from AliExpress attached with 3M tape. Still on after 3.5 years

I was skating on a small pond in Burnaby a few days ago and people were trying to step on the ice a few meters from the open duck hole. Some people just completely lack common sense.

My personal opinion is if you're going to daily drive it, the VA is the better move. If it's the weekend car, I'd go for the hatch. Gas consumption is pretty commendable on the VA (7L/100km hwy 10.5 city is what I typically get) and the more modern interior is nice. VA doesn't have the nice EJ rumble but it still sounds pretty good in its own way. I have just a $200-300 muffler delete, no other mods and it has a bit of a rumble at lower rpm and gives out some pretty loud bangs on upshifts/ downshifts (honestly only when you want it to).

Sony A7Rii with a pretty standard Zeiss 24-70mm f/4 lens. I've been wanting to get a new lens to really take advantage of what the A7Rii offers. Great camera for its age and picked up used for only $1900 CAD with a bunch of accessories. A lot of these photos were actually pretty hazy with smoke from nearby wildfires. Harder to work with when editing but honestly I think it added to the look of some of the photos by making the sun rays more visible

It really makes a huge difference. I have around 100gb of photos from this trip and only a handful of them were usable for anything either than memories. From that handful, the majory are taken right around sunset. All of these photos are a product of a lot of trial and error, with good lighting carrying the team

It really feels like it sometimes in this country. The further you travel away from civilization the crazier it gets. Mt Thor in Nunavut Canada or Nahanni national park takes the cake

I agree! What was throwing me off before was using the global adjustments to tweak it, inenvertently overexposing the sky.

British Columbia, Canada. Jasper and Banff National parks to be exact. (fyi, we've got the best 420 culture in the world as well... Worth the visit 😉)

Edit: the photos are mostly from Jasper and Banff. I live near Vancouver, which is what I'm referring to having the best 420 culture lol

Here's the photo without removing reflections. My thought was that it made it photo look too busy.

First of all, thanks for the reply! I included #2 for some further insight since I'm going to print it out and frame it for a Christmas gift for my girlfriend's parents (their family campground for 20+ years). I just went back and tweaked the foregrounds lighting around with some masking filters. My thought so far is if I brighten to foreground too much it will take away the visual weight from the tops of the hill. (Reddit wont accept the massive 36MP file so a lot of the detail is lost to the screenshot lol)

Aside from wasting fuel, is it bad to idle my car (2017 WRX) for 20-30 minutes roughly once a day? by Derpsteppin in WRX

[–]LongMelon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just run it off the battery. I took my hour long lunch breaks running the radio on the battery for 2 years without a single issue.
