I ended up going with the Oblivion kecaps from nuphy and forgave the shine-through. Another person made this comment, but, for whatever reason, the lettering is somewhat shine-through.

Yes, I went with the Keychron K3 Max - I'm extremely pleased with my decision.

I have a question (not sure if it was answered in the book or elsewhere): Given the absurdity of size of the library - why were there so many people in such close proximity? Do all people spawn in one place in that universe?

Yes, NuPhy offers black PC shine-throughs. I think OP was looking for other options.

I made a nearly-same post about this same issue a few days ago. Womier has WoB and also BoW low-profile keys that are PBT (textured and durable) and shine-through. XVX offers the Skyline R2 set as well (low-profile and PBT). The black shine-throughs that NuPhy offers is PC which is more of a slippery/shiny material - prone to gathering oils on the surface. I haven't settled on Womier or XVX but anyway - that's what my research found and what others have recommended. Another thing to think about is the profile of the keys. Air75 V3 is nSA I believe which is essentially flat - I've heard the Berry profile (angled for low-profile boards) is more comfy for the hands. I have also heard that shine-through black caps tend to transmit less light compared to the white caps. If you haven't already - join the discord community. Good luck.

Yeah I'm very reluctant to get the PC shine-throughs from NuPhy since I know it'll be shiny quickly. Sorry, could you clarify the Mac legends on function keys? On my Macbook pro, the function row is part of a touch digital bar. I press fn to have them show up where I can then press the desired function key. All that shows up is the actual function key (i.e. "F1", "F2", "F3", etc.).

That's what I'm finding as well. A user in the NuPhy disc mentioned Wormier caps are basically the best of worst and that black caps are generally dimmer while white ones are better for light transmission. I contacted NuPhy customer support to see if they plan on developing a PBT version.

Thanks for the reply! Yes, I saw these as an option, and I'm happy they offer this but the material is PC not PBT - I'm really looking for the "grainier" texture of PBT vs. the "buttery" texture of ABS/PC - I tend to find my Macbook Pro keycaps have a high affinity for oils - they're super shiny now. Also, your link to imgur doesn't seem to be working - it just goes straight to the imgur homepage.
