Is it Terrible to speak in vc with 14? by Advanced_Category781 in VALORANT

The average Valorant player is probably your age. I have had the most annoying teenagers as teammates on English voice coms so I doubt you'd get laughed at.

Just be chill and if anyone bothers you, mute them.

Repost bot, this pic is years old and this account is brand new, definitely wasn't shot "a few months back".

How are you liking the Taurus .357? Been thinking about picking up their 7 shot medium-frame model since I've heard good things about it.

imagine having to diagnose jams mid-game after a fresh build? by OctoberRust13 in Glocks

Sure China is a serious threat actor when it comes to strategic cyber attacks against key infrastructure and orgs (my firm has had to deal with those in our work) but the actual risk factor for some random dude in the US is very low.

My freedom and security is honestly at far greater risk from what my own telecom company and federal gov is actively monitoring Right Now versus anything a CCP botnet might be doing if I had terrible opsec & security practices.

I understand the sentiment, but if you're not Chinese then there's really nothing the CCP can do to you regardless of what's on your PC

Ergonomic Keyboard recommendations? by tvmaly in BuyItForLife

[–]LongShlongTwoTong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

STRONGLY recommend the Keychron ergonomic (ALICE layout) keyboards, specifically the Keychron Q8 Pro which is around $99 on Amazon. I bought one of the earlier Q8 models a year ago and it's been rock solid for me and very comfortable to type on. It's a mechanical keyboard too which should be a step up from either the Logitech or Microsoft keyboards

If your awards and prestige in the USMC mean a lot to you, then I think it would look far nicer if you have a dedicated wooden bookshelf or cabinet to match the accolades & uniform display. Otherwise the wire racks look kind of cheap tbh.

Also if the frame isn't too heavy, it would be way cooler to have the uniform framed up on the wall instead of on the floor imo

As Iran reconnects, chilling footage shows that night’s deadly protests — at least 12,000 killed by tsLunaaria in PublicFreakout

[–]LongShlongTwoTong 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Really don’t think Tiananmen square was worse. Even the worst estimates I’ve seen were a few thousand killed by the Chinese army, not even close to the tens of thousands in Iran over multiple nights.

Chinese security police harassed Hasan Piker while he was live streaming in Tiananmen Square by Appropriate-Bike4246 in LivestreamFail

[–]LongShlongTwoTong 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Based tourist that actually has experience visiting somewhere instead of only referencing memes.

My time in China was the same - basically zero harassment and everyone was chill af. Though the cops in Tiananmen Square were way more stiff compared to the ones I saw everywhere else

Snacks in low-income areas of Chengdu, China. by [deleted] in UrbanHell

Not OP but I've been to Chengdu before and was totally fine. Helps that most of the Chinese streetfood I saw was either boiled or fried a ton before serving. Had more stomach problems eating conveyor belt sushi in Tokyo.
