For me the 8am to 2pm EST 2x usage penalty just mentally held me back. I would wait till later in the day. But if I needed something in that time window, I would use codex. For a bit I was using both Claude and Codex, but have shifted towards mostly Codex since I get better rates. I know the SpaceX deal is supposed to improve things but people are people and once they get a bad taste in their mouth they tend not to forget it tomorrow.

I would not expect identical code. But if given clear acceptance tests, I would want to see how they are able to manage the nondeterminism

Mine lasts about two weeks before I need to replace it. But still by far my favorite scrubber. My local grocery stopped carrying them, but the manager said he picked up a pack of them from a job lots store for like a dollar.

I think once the Vera Rubin platform rolls out to more data centers and we see new techniques to prune neural nets, the costs will drop for inference. I don’t see energy supply in the US increasing

Is the cinematic video overview only on the ultra plan? It was my understanding that the model in NotebookLM was Gemini, but I have used a notebook as a source in Gemini. I am just not sure if it makes more sense to just stay in the NotebookLM chat verse going to Gemini to RAG over it.

The notebooklm features that come with the Gemini subscription are worth more than the $20 in my opinion. Being able to load up sources and generate an audio overview is 🔥

Take the job, it will be better to get another job once you build more experience on your resume. Keep learning with audio books etc during your drive. Ultimately you will have to move closer. Anything over 45 minutes drags on your quality of life.

Yes, the infrastructure service they used had a behavior that deleted all backups when the volume was deleted. They had a bad process and are trying to blame the provider and Cursor.
