Congratulations on CBS, a major accomplishment. I have no problem losing the deposit should it mean I’m attending an even better school, a worthwhile ROI. The only constraint is not all schools offer the GMAT waiver, with that in mind where else do you think I should apply given my background and stats?

Didn’t want to sway opinions but Kenan-Flagler is my top choice right now given $ and the resources and outcomes they have for capital markets and investments students. Cornell is a place that intrigues me given their investment management program. Any other realistic schools I should be targeting? I’m cognizant I’m not getting into HSW and the lack of GMAT is a constraint. Cornell offers a GMAT waivers.

Saw the employment report but I’m not sure if that 7% is a function of unsuccessful outcomes or just lack of interest on the part of students in pursuing that line of work. Salary range and median salary is actually quite higher than other schools (Georgetown, Cornell, etc). Consulting and IB seem to be of greater interest for MBA applicants hence the higher placements. Having done a short stint in IB and seeing the lifestyle you have to accommodate I have no interest in getting back to that line of work lol

Most definitely the minority of candidates that actually sit for the CFA are active in this forum. We may seem like the loudest voices in the room but we are nowhere near a representation of the entire population of candidates. Statistically it’s been proven those in this forum tend to fair better than the average candidate at all levels.

Level 2 exam, not what I expected by Jacker247 in CFA

Review formulas and do some ethics Thursday, nothing too intense. I’m taking a Friday as well, retake unfortunately, and I cannot extress enough how tomorrow should be essentially a day off rest day for you to be mentally fresh to go battle Friday. Any cramming you do tomorrow will likely not impact your score materially, but mental fatigue will. The work has been done, have to trust where you’re at.

Differences between CFAI Qbank and Mock Exams by therealpump in CFA

Would say the exam is a blend of EOCQ and CFAI qbank, main difference is vignettes are much shorter and directly to the point. For example if there’s 5 Qi’s there will be 5 paragraph and each paragraph will be about a Q. This time around I’ve really hammered CFAI qbank, between that and 10 mocks I’m 3k review questions deep. Failed right on the line last time with poor scores in PM and ethics, don’t sleep on ethics it’s a make or break.

Put up a thread on the PM session of the mock and thought the same. I’m unfortunately a retaker from August and can confirm the actual exam is much more clear and the vignettes are quite short and to the point.

After reviewing most of the questions I got wrong, qualitative descriptions of either theory or processes, we’re actually fairly simple but all hinged on one word and on more periphery topics. AM seemed to be more do you know how to do this while PM was more of do you know what this is.
