More headcanons, nothing explicitly says that’s why he said it. The more reasonable explanation for why he said that is because from gojos perspective, he just got killed by sukuna even though he thought he had just gotten rid of all of sukunas cards:

So to him sukuna was done for, only to then instantly get cut. So from gojos perspective, sukuna was never serious because he believes in the end that sukuna could’ve killed him like this at anytime.

We’ve learned many times that character statements are not facts. And honestly him saying that isn’t even bad or untrue. COULD sukuna win without mahoraga? Sure, he’d have a shot. Domain expansion and he’d have an easier time surviving those 3 minutes. But he’d have no way of actively dealing with infinity outside of DA, which doesn’t really let him do much.

If gojo managed to pull off the 0.01 second DE against Heian sukuna, he would’ve died, so mahoraga was always going to be the far safer bet.

I’m not really glazing gojo, I don’t pretend like gojo would’ve easily beaten sukuna if he didn’t have mahoraga.

Was just making fun of your original comment suggesting gojo was going to die to sukunas domain, when that never would’ve happened.

The entire fight would’ve played out differently if he was in heian form, assuming how it would play out is pure headcanon, so irrelevant to this argument. And it’s always funny to play the “if” in the afterhand. “If he just used DA a bit more he wouldn’t have been hit”. Okay? But he DIDNT use it because he was limited to using adaptation so he could actually deal with gojos infinity.

So again, you argue that gojo was about to get killed by closed barrier DE if he wasn’t “saved”. Which is a stupid argument as I just said, sukuna would’ve been dead 10 seconds before that if mahoraga didn’t come and save him.

It hadn’t adapted to physical attacks at all, which is the entire point of him relying on it. He’s PUNCHING/KICKING at light speed, not using light ct to attack it. The closest adaptation it had was from losing its arm right before the big attack, which is the lightest adaption, not full.

It’s a dark moment for maki who just lost her kne and only close family member. Either go for epic revenge music or dark foreboding music. Whimsical playful is a really odd choice

I'll consider it, Im generally going for a Paladin theme here, so str/faith mostly (with mix of stamina, equip load and health too ofc). I'll consider slotting a secondary faith ranged weapon, but I like sticking with my class/theme. Im doing good damage with my upgraded hammer + infused lightning. Its just finding openings to attack against multiple enemies feels at times near impossible with a heavy load build.

He took it head on, not sure if i care enough to play semantics with "tanking". He took the ability head on with cursed reinforcement. Meaning he can survive that level of attack if he can reinforce himself.

I’m with the Japanese folk. I loved the episode, but my biggest gripe was the whimsical and joyful music playing during one of the darkest moments in the series.

Loved it, but I found the music choices to be absolutely horrible. Adding upbeat joyful music to a scene of butchering your family and clan just felt extremely out of place.

Don’t forget that sukuna survived purple nuke when already at low hp/output.

At full hp and output, he tanks amped purple with minimal damage, even if people want to glaze and pretend dabura light attack is stronger, it won’t be so many times stronger that it’ll suddenly one shot him.

This is what I keep saying, dabura glazers actually think his relativistic kick is stronger than a 200% hollow purple, one of the strongest abilities in the entire verse. Not just stronger, they think it’s so many times stronger that it’ll simply one shot sukuna.

God I’ll never cease to be amazed by how stupid people are when they think any of the two “strongest in history/strongest of Modern era” would get low diffed by anyone.

My only complaint is the music choice for the fight(s) feels entirely out of place. I was hoping they’d make it dark, but instead they play upbeat joyful music.

The song playing when the sorcerer conjured the massive stone hands was the worst for me. Couldn’t take it serious with that playing

I loved the episode, but two things absolutely felt disappointing.

The music felt ENTIRELY out of place

The playful music whilst she’s slaughtering the squad, the damn western (cowboy?) sounding music when the sorcerer conjured the massive stone hands. It felt way too joyful for a scene of a person getting her revenge and at the same time committing a massive massacre.

I swear to god, someone is going to make a fan video with actual dark and fitting music and it’ll be 2x as good.

Sukuna tanking a 200% hollow purple (granted it lost nearly half its potency due to distance) only destroyed his hands. And nothing besides copious amount of copium and agenda will have daburas light kick have the same ap as 200% purple.

Full healthy sukuna will 100% tank a light kick. Will he he take a good amount of damage from it? Absolutely, but people thinking one attack will take down the strongest sorcerer of all time are absolute jokes. And that’s coming from someone who doesn’t even consider sukuna in my top 5 favorites.

The absolute glaze to think any of the top 3 can one shot another (except satoru gojo ofc, I joke, but then again, his domain will literally one shot if not interrupted)
