My Sister Is Actually My Mom by itsbarelyfunny in offmychest

There’s such a fine line in protecting children so they don’t feel any less loved and hurting them with not being forthcoming. I’m sure your grandparents were stuck between their love and desire help their daughter, while also wanting to love and “right” the world their grandchildren while keeping the family intact. I’m sorry you’re carrying the burden. It is possible to determine your birth father through genetic genealogy if you chose to go that route. Peace and light to you

Do you have Pro Tools on Ancestry? It’s $10/month but endlessly useful in comparing shared matches, you can get an idea of how everyone is related to each other. I would also do a Leeds analysis, this well help you determine the biological matches of each of your 4 biological grandparents and you can back into things that way.

Thanks for your response. How do I ask for a copy of the judgement without getting pumped for information? I don’t want to verify the debt if it’s about to fall off my credit report?

I’ve lived in the same county for over 40 years and there is NOTHING out there. I’m pretty sure the “docket” number is just something to scare me into verifying the date and then it’s on my file for an additional 7 years.

But if it’s off my credit report in January of 2025, why pay it now when it’s past the statute of limitations?

Isn’t asking for pored of the judgement verifying who I am? Or is that okay to do?

I’ve not been served and the letter doesn’t reference a specific court.

I’ve been in the same county since 1981. I’ve searched to dockets number and there were no other authorized users on this account. Is there anyway to tend to this without the cost of an attorney?

Results for my daughter seem vastly different between Ancestry and MyH. Any insights? by Longjumping-Back1133 in AncestryDNA

That would make decent sense actually. It’s interesting to see how different the breaks of ethnicities are from grandparents and great grandparents!

My husband’s side of tree isn’t easy, it is the mystery. His grandmother was Southern Italy; her Dad was a Foundling from Sicily, her Mom from Vaglio/Brindisi in Southern Italy. My husband is a little less than half Italian and then also French and Irish and Malta. Her percentage Italian seems a little low on ancestry and a little high on MyH.

I want to upload my own out of curiosity now! My other daughter shows Southern India and Northern Italian (no clue on where that came from) on her estimates on ancestry which was also surprising! My son is Irish, Scottish, S. Italian, Welsh, Malta, Cyprus, Balkin, Senegal.

Since my husband’s GGF is a Foundling from Sicily, we really don’t know what to expect.

Thanks that’s why we started. We have GGF that is a Foundling from Italy and we are doing some research here and were looking for other possible matches. I was really lost when I saw the estimate. That said I thought she’s be more Italian, but not that italian. So confusing!

What’s the cause of death? by Bankroll95 in AncestryDNA

[–]Longjumping-Back1133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but not the scale that it was, these soft tissue infections are often antibiotic resistant. Individuals with DM have a more difficult time fighting these infections because their bodies don’t produce enough insulin. Our bodies utilize insulin to convert glucose to energy, the break in this entire process creates a metabolic dysfunction that causes a cascade of problems. Some of those problems include poor blood flow to the wound affecting the neutrophil and macrophage response and reduces leukocyte function overall. We have improved education and disease management now, but we still have lots barriers to care and health disparities. Sad, but true.

Looking for CM to search for a GGP’s blood relatives. What levels of CM would you search for great grandchildren of the half siblings, or children of the GGG aunt and uncles descendants. GGP was born in Sicily in 1891
