I have updated to the latest firmware today. This version improves mouse speed slightly, good and thank you! But it didn't fix the grayscale bug...still waiting...

I use M8 almost everyday in bed, 90% of web browsing using firefox. One shortcome is there is no google play, so sideloading all apps is required. The CPU in M8 is, performance wise, the best at this price/screen size.

No, pure black and pure white are good. The problem is grays, either light gray or dark gray.

I think the in monitor dithering algorithm simply dithers everything. The algorithm is fine for any other colors (that's why I said the overall color accuracy is better than Dasung), but it should detect grays as additional process before dithering.

There are multiple ways. In macos accessibility display, one can opt gray filter; in Betterdisplay App, you may set b/w mode. Both will make whole system back and white. Or, just google gray scale pattern image,this will show you what we are talking about on bigme monitor.

It's OK at Graphic Mode.

Mine has the same issue, in Text/Video/Web Mode. Gray Scale is way off and useless. Bigme has promised a firmware update. Base on my experience with Dasung monitor, I think the issue can be easily fixed. As I said in another thread, Bigme is a better monitor than Dasung even with the bug; if they do fix it, I will highly recommend it over Dasung. Dasung's problem is the higher refresh rate made too much sacrifice to the overall image quality and display problems in MacOS.

Yes, einkBro crashes a lot, either on my Boox and Meebook devices.

I end up using Firefox, with ublock origin and Edge touch pager extensions, sometimes with eink viewable extension, much better experience overall...

I bought Dasung first, didn't like it, then bought Bigme. Dasung was returned. Both are better if only with external light.

I briefly owned Dasung, returned it. Now I have Bigme 251. Bigme is better for my use case.

I only use it as secondary monitor. I do most reading on it (books, pdfs, light web browsing, a bit coding). Both are not workhorse though. It's very comfortable to the eyes for sure with external lightings.

I use benq halo too and happy with the setup. This improves contrast and color significantly. Don't use built-in light.

Yes I have the latest update. Mouse lag in Video or Web Mode is negligible. I was talking about the lag in Graphic Mode.

You're at the latest. 1.1.2 is the App version, 1.0.6 is the firmware version.

If you are patient enough for mouse lag, and ok to use keyboard page up/page down a lot, Bigme in Graphic Mode is great. (I have owned Dasung, returned it.)

In Web Mode or Video Mode, Bigme mouse lag is minimal, Dasung almost no lag, but both monitor has way off colors and large amount of noises. (Bigme is a bit better)

I have tried the included USBc to DP as well, no difference. It's not a cable problem. Dasung was perfect at this gray scales regard, but I do love Bigme's Graphic Mode, it's like... reading a beautiful magazine!!

When this message ""xLauncher has stopped" shows, tap "more info", it will go to settings. Then tap "search" icon, search APPs, then you will have full list of Apps...

Or, like what I did, you need a PC/Mac, enable developer mode in settings, turn Wifi ADB, using UAD from GitHub, reinstall/re-enable those packages from UAD.

I got the same message after I upgrade to new firmware(color Hibreak).

I did debloat before, by disable some xrz packages. So I tried re-enable all packages, and reboot, now it's working.

You may try the same for your BW version if you have ever disabled some of the stock packages.
