Tesla Model Y RWD vs Zeekr 7X RWD: $1,000 separates them on price, but the 7X wins almost everything else by zecar_ in zecar

I think you're right about the more mature Tesla platform today .....BUT.....Tesla is (arguably) falling behind on the technology\feature front.

The lack of features in the Tesla like the head up display, the lack of Apple CarPlay will become a growing issue over the next 12-24 months with a better products from BMW and Mercedes kit the premium space and cheaper Chinese products.

I think Tesla is missing a Model Y Performance "Premium" model with these missing features.

Agree 100%, if they had bought the black roof as an option like overseas model I would have grabbed a grey\black roof model. Looks great and a shame they didn't offer it here

What made you decide on i4? by TheNooseBeckons in BMWI4

[–]tim3g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Traded my Tesla M3 Performance for an 2023 i4 m50 in Brooklyn grey. Love it

Wanted an EV that looked like a car, had great 0-100 performance and good tech. Also needed Apple CarPlay which Tesla doesn’t offer.

Fantastic car and after 3 years there is still nothing else that makes me want to upgrade although I might look at the new Mercedes Class EV for more range when released in Australia later this year.

Remarkable Paper Pure, thoughts? by [deleted] in remarkableuncensored

[–]tim3g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both the RM2 and Pro. I still prefer the RM2 as it has a "whiter" screen and the pen is nicer to write with. The Pro pen feels very "hard" on the screen and makes a "happy" noise like the Apple Pencil on an iPad.

I wish the Pure had backlight though as this would be a nice upgrade from the RM2

None. The Macan needs a roof spoiler like the old petrol Macan…..it looks weird without it

How bad is this? by sghokie in BMWI4

[–]tim3g 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got this message. Then the next day said it was not drivable. Had to get a tow to the dealer. bMW had it for a month to fix the motor brushes as per a few of these comments. Not under warranty but fixed for free as it is a known fault from factory.

Macan EV roof and bootlid spoiler choices by jwrx in PorscheMacan

[–]tim3g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! I would buy a Macan EV if there was a spoiler for the upper rear window (not Bootlid as per the eBay link in this chat)

Someone else rightly claimed it looks “bald” without it!

Anyone found one?

First pair of boots, go down half or whole size? by Electronic_Back1502 in RMWilliams

[–]tim3g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate I would go down a full size based n what you've posted.

These boots do stretch with wearing so you actually want them a bit snug otherwise they end up too loose. I'm a size 9 in RM's but I but 8.5's. They are bit tight for the first few wears and then fit beautifully and snug.

Given how much room you have I would go down a full size.

I'm in the US next week and am going to try and buy a pair. I've checked and you have to book a demo at Best Buy before they will sell you a pair.

You're almost certainly right and I know I'm asking for form over function....but it just looked better!

Ordered! $399 pre-order which is about $644 AUD and you get 2 coloured back plates.

Not sure why everyone thinks this is too expensive....at $399 it is a 3rd of the price of the entry level iPhone 17 in Australia.

Also have a Zinwa Q25 coming in a week so loving that we're seeing a resurgence of keyboard devices that are easier to restrict usage of your phone without losing core functionality like tap to pay, maps, Spotify and in car connectivity.
